Nisdec
Hey folks, Some of the SWTOR players, including me, would like to have the functionality of some kind of grid, so that you can be more exact if you’re customizing the UI in-game. I wrote this small guide in order to accomplish this: INSTALLATION Please download this “MB-RulerPortable.rar“-file and extract it wherever you want: > Download < This is a portable version of a program called “MB-Ruler“, which has been modified by myself for the needs in SWTOR. This way you just have to extract the RAR-file and are ready to go, without the need of a complete installation or setting up anything. Alternatively you can visit the site of the creator of this program and download it there: http://www.markus-bader.de/MB-Ruler/index.htm Information regarding the program: “MB-Ruler” is only free for “none-commercial” purposes USAGE Now move into the folder you have extracted and start the “MB-RulerPortable.exe“. Please don’t get scared, you’ll immediately see a grid as an overlay on your desktop. Now start SWTOR and be happy about a grid while you’re customizing your user interface ! ADVICE: If you don’t see the grid in SWTOR, please move to your graphic settings and set the game to “Fullscreen (Windowed)” (At least as long as you need the grid) ! If you want to shut down the program “MB-Ruler“, right-click on the program icon in your tray in windows and click on “close”. RESULT If you did everything right, it should look like this: > Screenshot < Regards, Nisdec P.S.: Of course, you can also customize the grid as you wish. If you want to do this, start the program and right-click on the program icon in your tray, click on “Grid…” and then on “Settings”. There you’ll find all sorts of settings you can change. Beginning with the position of the grid (for a centered position, depending on the screen resolution, you’ll have to adjust this accordingly). The amount of lines, the line weight as well as color and transparency of the grid can be altered at this point.
