as a new powertech pyro what rotation?

Hello all I am running a new Powertech and was planning on the pyro tree.

 

the question I have is what rotation should I use in PVE fights?

basically your pve rotations should be:

 

Proc ppa

railshot

X

X

then try to proc ppa again with Rocket punch (if available) or flameburst.

 

you cant use a set rotation for what skills to use in those 2 global cooldowns.

IM does most damage for 1 gcd, so if you can afford the heat cost and the dot is not already up that should be your priority. FB puts the cilinder dot up 100% so I like to put one of those in if I didnt just use it. Flamethrower and TD just do some nice damage so use them when your heat is not too high.

If using anything else will get you over 40 heat, use your rapid shots. You dont want to have to use rapid shots when you can proc ppa.

Dont forget to use thermal sensor override, preferably on you 25 heat cost abilities.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Proc, Rail Shot, fill in 2 GCD. What I use depends on what is off CD, and how much heat I have.

 

First, is if heat is above 25. If so, I just rapid shot twice.

 

If heat is below that, i'll first use Unload.

 

If that's down, i'll Thermal Det. If Override or Vent heat is up, i'll follow it up with Inc Missle. If not, i'll rapid shot.

 

If both of those down, i'll flamethrower.

 

After that, if I rapid shot twice or unload, and rocket punch is up, i'll lead with that to try to proc. If I TD+RS/IM or FT, i'll instead lead with flame burst, going to rocket punch if it doesn't proc.
