AngelaBeth Posted March 22, 2012 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Been playing my Vanguard, got him to level 42 but I'm at the point where i'm needing an alt. I'm looking to go with a Ranged class. I would totally go with a commando if I could stomach the story through again but I won't be able to to that for a few months. Plus, I'm looking at going Empire. Suggestions? For those of you who love the Vanguard play style and have a ranged class alt. Not too keen on playing a Sniper, so really a Sorc or Merc? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Vanguard is really the most mobile ranged toon, but it's not really ranged either. A merc gives you range too, but your feet will mostly be glued to the ground. Same with sniper, although that can be as mobile as your sense of timing allows. Cover is a clunky mechanic, though, and continually moving in and out of it can be awkward.
