Assault Specialist - Range Vs Melee DPS

Using Kray's DPS sheet available on sithwarrior.com, i did some simulation using the 1.2 mechanics as implemented on the sheet. The 1.2 patch note may change before coming live, if so, il will try to update the numbers when a new spreadsheet comes out.

 

IR: Incendiary Round

AP: Assault Plastique

HiB: High Impact Bolt

SS: StockStrike

IP: Ion Pulse

FA: Full Auto

HS: Hammer Shot

 

Using Rakata BIS with all raid buff, stim, adrenal and armor debuff on target.

1000 simulation of 300 seconds (5 minutes)

Using 1.2 mechanics.

 

Range: 4m max (using a 8/5/28 build)

Rotation: IR - HiB - SS - IP // HS

DPS: 1618

 

 

Range: 5-10m range (using a 8/5/28 build, remove SS from rotation)

Rotation: IR - HiB - IP // HS

DPS: 1613

 

 

Range: 11-30m range (using a 4/6/31 build, remove SS and IP from rotation)

Rotation: IR - HiB - AP - FA // HS

DPS: 1360

 

 

The loss of DPS from 4m to 10m is insignificant, only 5 dps (0.3%). Human error from perfect rotation is probably higher.

 

At 30m, vanguard still maintain 84% of its theoretical maximum DPS.

 

Please note that interrupt (riot strike) still require you to be at 4m range.

WHy remove IP from this rotation - or is it meant to be for 30m? (UL = Full Auto?)
