NO_Walking
Looking to get a new SSD for my computer to increase terrible load times. Nothing too big, just want it to fit with my system and hold SWTOR mostly. Any suggestions would be helpful. Bamajawn
I've been very happy with my Corsair 60GB drive. No problems with install and lightning fast.
JonnyShat
I absolutely love my 120gb Samsung 830, costs less than the Intel 520 series and has about the same reliability. It does have a bit slower write speed but I doubt real world will show a difference.
iRouven
I've been very happy with my Corsair 60GB drive. No problems with install and lightning fast. I'm probably the only one who has windows on it as well eh? Think I got around 10 gigs left. Otherwise runs nice for me, can't really compare because my old computer fried just prior to Swtor coming out.
Proksham
I upgraded to a samsung 830 boot/game drive and my load times are not much better. I have a feeling that long load times are more related to server communication. I would suggest sticking with a new raptor and stack up on ram. There's a good thread about creating a ram drive floating around here. And ram is pretty damn cheap right now
-TK-
I have had multiple Corsair X-series drives fail on me. One I was able to recover. Two I was not. I have had an Intel since I installed SWTOR and it has performed flawlessly. I know that if it fails, it has a good warranty on it. When it comes to SSDs, you get what you pay for as far as hardware quality and reliability. Before buying anything I recommend looking at NewEgg and reading lots of reviews to see what people are encountering. That way you fully understand what complication may come with the drive you are buying.
