What is the "standard" PvE spec for Sentinels?

Deciding to roll a Sentinel here shortly and I was curious as to what a good leveling PvE spec is for Sentinels. Any help would be appreciative.

Notes:

 

- Spec to 31 Watchman first, starting with Focused Slash and Quick Recovery.

- Get Overload Saber, Juyo Mastery, Searing Saber, and Repelling Blows as soon as possible.

Edit2: Corrected the level 50 PvE build for 2/2 Phantom since you don't have Defensive Roll in a PvE spec lolol.

Thank you! I was about to start translating it all lol.

 

So essentially its about self heals and dots then? I thought that was more the PvP build for Sentinels, or am I mistaken?

In theory, a direct damage spec would be better for leveling because trash mobs die fast right?

 

Unfortunately the way it pans out is that Combat sucks until you get very deep in the tree -- Blade Rush is the tree's keystone, and you don't get it until level 40.

 

The absolute best leveling talents are Focused Slash and Quick Recovery -- huge efficiency boost on the vast majority of your attacks for the first 39 levels.

 

And then, Overload Saber at level 20 is easily the most powerful 1 point in any tree except for the 31 point talents.

 

Watchman just starts off way way stronger for wasting trash. And then when you have to fight anything that's "hard" ... well then Watchman also offers heals. So yeah :\.

 

Edit: If you want to explore Focus/Combat for variety, I recommend waiting on Focus until level 30 or so, so you can properly Omega Sweep. For Combat, wait until 43, so you can get Blade Rush with Focused Slash. Although keep in mind there's a significant learning curve, as the specs play very differently.

Got it. Thanks for the insight! I played a Sentinel way back in beta but this class has changed so dramatically since then I had no idea where to start.
