Bwice Posted March 5, 2012 Share Posted March 5, 2012 Charged Barrel Grav Round grants Charged Barrel, increasing the damage dealt by the next High Impact Bolt by 6%. Stacks up to 5 times. Has anyone came across the fact that no matter how many stacks you put this talent it doesn't actually change the damage of HIB? I have done everything possible to test when this talent may work but to no luck. Without a combat log it is extremely hard, due to the fact that you must collect damage numbers that float over an opponent. Both with the talent purchased and then in a spec that doesn't have it. After posting several discussions in the "General Forum" as well as "Suggestion Box" with no response from Developers. Wiggin Posted March 5, 2012 Share Posted March 5, 2012 Just did a really quick test on a few silver mobs and Charged Barrel appears to be working fine on a level 40 trooper, so if it does break at some point it's not with Rank 6 HIB. HIB tooltip = 735-894 damage With 5 stacks CB & 5 grav vortex: 960 948 885 924 With 0 stacks CB & 0 grav vortex: 669 683 663 With 1 stack CB & 5 grav vortex: 658 Because HIB is a "white attack" you have to figure in the damage reduction from enemy armor plus armor penetration factors (grav vortex and APC) to explain the actual numbers, but it's easy to tell already that 5 stacks of Charged Barrel is making around a 30% difference in HIB's damage for Rank 6 HIB, which is what the talent suggests.
