My two cents for this game - a thread of Constructive Criticism

Hello! I have been playing this game since Early Access and I have been playing MMO's like WoW, EVE Online and LoTRO for a long time and I would like to congratulate for the launching of the game. But there are some concerns for me, that I feel, I need to adress.

Since from the start, i have had a feeling, that this game was rushed to release. Which is unacceptable, as this is a 200 million $ production title. The game lacks high resolution textures and has high FPS problems even on high-end computers in Warzones, Ilum and on Republic Fleet. My Jedi Consulars gear looks like it's made out of clay, and so does the textures of many mountains and cliffs ingame.

Also, what I find, what needs to be improved is the ammount of useful gear. And I stress useful. When I leveled up my Consular, it was rather easy to stay on current gear requirements because of the changeble modifications. It was a cool feature, but it made other gear obsolute and did not require you guys to make more items and gear, therefore letting you slack off. Again, this is a 200 million $ title and this should not be an issue. And this reflects to endgame content and gear aswell. In other MMO's I found it very satisfying to work hard to get firstly blue items, which were useful to start on harder content. After I had successfully gathered Epic or purple items, it was time to do some raiding, where I would get better purples and at the end I would recieve some "Tier" pieces and set's for all the hard work I had done. Now, this game's endgame does not feel rewarding at all. I find it disturbing, because I was able to start tanking Hardmode Operations with easily obtained gear from PvP and Warzone vendors. After a few runs in Eternity Vault and Karagga, i have a nice PvE gear on my Consular, but.... It felt too easy and unchallenging. I beg of you to create more items, that are useful for raiding and to make getting Set items like Rakata and Columni more challenging. And please, do make PvP gear more unuseful for PvE.

What I found very fun and competetive in PvP were the warzones, which I do really like. However, these emotions were quickly killed by fire and magnets in the cold wastelands of Ilum. The zone is HUGE!!!! I bet it's bigger than the original "The Barrens" in WoW!! And because it is that big, it is very hard for many servers to fill it, because of low population and zone instancing. I have had to just stand at the doors of the Republic Base and wait until my Force Pull cooldown was down, to pull in some Imperials, because the Republic side was undermanned and the heavy Imperial forces just wont attack. And this is very fustrating.

Another topic I would like to address, is the Endgame content itself. Which is bugged beyond oblivion! I really would enjoy the Soa fight, if it wouldnt bug every try. And the two fights before Soa are an absurd. Is this engame content, or mental disability testing for 5-year olds? What I mean by that is, that you have the ability to create new and challenging fights with rewards, that are worth the effort and stick it to the other MMO's that have gone lazy themselves. Also I would like if you did some heavy testing on the Pylon encounter aswell, as it bugs more often, than Soa does. Other than that I have to say, that I dont have done Karagga's that often, but the first bosses were nice, so job well done Bioware! But please, get your game going.

Now, about Customer Support. I really dont have a clue, if you guys are undermanned down there, or you just dont care? If someone wants something to get done, we would have to call on an international number, which is very expensive. I personally paid 10 euros for 6 calls, from which I didnt recieve any help because no-one would pick up and some robot would say that the lines are too busy. Please, get some more people down there and start helping more people ingame. Take some inspiration from the good people of Blizzard Entertainment.

Some concern about crafting aswell. I feel, that my skills as an Artficer wont be needed, as I cant make any enchancements, hilts or crystals, that would be better, than the ones provided from operations or daily missions. Please make our skills more needed and useful.

Also, what I would like to get in this game would be combat logs and threat and dps meters if you wont enable aditional addons, like WoW has. It wouldnt be that hard, because you guys allready have to have a combat log and dps recount ingame, as these are shown after every Warzone. These features are really necessary, if you guys at Bioware want this game to succeed at competetive end-game raiding. Oh, and a " target of target" feature would be appreciated aswell.

Well, that turned out as a quite big wall of text here. I hope that someone from you guys at Bioware would take a look at it and made some effort to clear the game of the issues or add some features that I have suggested and mentioned in this text. I want to stress out, that I really like the setting of this game and want to see it succeed, but I felt, that I had to point out some flaw's of this game to help make it better.

Thank you for your attention.
