Does the 'ignore 30% armor' of High Friction Bolts stack with '60% armor penetration' of Focused Impact for a total of 90% armor negation? Wouldn't that make HIB a little OP? (Literally every other class has abilties that a) ignore 100% of armor AND shielding, or b) just as much armor pen on their hardest hitting attacks) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
va_wanderer Posted February 14, 2012 Share Posted February 14, 2012 As noted above- HIB can be talented to 90% armor penetration, but that only means armor. Other defensive abilities still apply, meaning HIB's get deflected, mitigated by stuff like Power Armor (despite the name), and so on. It does make it a nice bread-and-butter mobile ability, though- especially for us Assault Vanguards who find cycling multiple freebie HIB's excellent DPS. And we have abilities that ignore armor anyway- not all abilities are mitigated by armor to begin with. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
