ptoss
Just read the book. Phantom Menace sort of makes sense now, as to what the sith were, where they came from and yadi yada blah blah blah. Anyways, it explains a whole lot of ****, and if you're interested go read it, not as boring and crappy as the other EU novels so might as well enjoy what's not crappy. it tells u: 1. *** is with those midiwatwats. 2. Who the **** is Palpatine. 3. Who the **** is Plagueis. 4. Most of the plot holes in movie 1. it does not include: 1. jar jar

Omnitheo
Plagueis was certainly one of my favorite SW novels. It also went a long way to explain midichlorians, and undo the "damage" that was done by introducing them in episode
PibbyPib
I refuse to read any EU stuff until Lucas is dead. That way, I know he won't step in and just casually stomp all over something I enjoy, like a retarded elephant in a Wal-Mart.
Omnitheo
Actually Darth Plagueis was started over 5 years ago, and then put on hold because of changes GL was making. This delay was actually beneficial to the novel, and helped tie it in to much of the current lore, including TCW, and TOR
