VIkingD
Ok first I will start with spec's I would like to know what you guys think works better for us and why. 1.http://db.darthhater.com/skill_calc/sith_warrior/marauder/#::e3fe4fe4fe3fe2f3ef7e2f26 vs. 2.http://db.darthhater.com/skill_calc/sith_warrior/marauder/#::e3fe4fe4fe3fe2f3ef8ef12ef13 Next alacrity.... What I would like to know is does this lower the cool down of Deadly Saber? And if so how much would you need to keep 3ranks of it on the target no matter how many saber atks you do in your rot? I have looked all this up, but I get a lot of people saying opposing things. I wish I could just get my hands on a damage meter so I can break down the math for it. Roda
Next alacrity.... What I would like to know is does this lower the cool down of Deadly Saber? No. Per the scrolling in-game tips on the loading screens, Alacrity is only +Casting Speed. For a Marauder, it helps us cast our few "channeled" abilities faster. Otherwise it's a completely worthless stat since the rest of our abilities are "instant" casts. People keep on claiming that Alacrity function like the WoW version of the skill. From what I've been told, WoW's version reduces the Recast Timer. However that version of the skill doesn't exist in TOR. If you're playing a class like an Imperial Operative and you hate how long your "channeled" Snipe takes to cast (which therefore also gives enemy mobs a chance to interrupt your cast through damage or removing you from Cover), then Alacrity is a desireable stat. Yet if you're playing a class which uses mostly "instant" cast abilities, then Alacrity is a mostly useless skill.
