Building a good Character tips?

This is my first real time working with the advance class and I feel like I'm having some trouble. Tanks, I never have a problem with. It's pretty much universal on all MMOs how to build a tank, but I can't seem to get this class down. I'm afraid I'm building it terribly. As of now I'm wearing all the Hammer Station medium armor and I'm level 20. Anyone have any tips?

well i suggest creating a new character because i suspect that you didn't pick a proper name. if you want to be godly at this game you need to have an awsome name.

 

if your an operative your name should be something like "XxXxXG0dLYSnLPerXxXx"

if your a bounty hunter your name should be something like "XxXxJaANJOfETTXxXx"

if your an inquisitor your name should be something like "XxXxXxHaRRyPOopErXxXxX"

and last but not least marauder should be something like "Phil"

 

with an awsome name like these theres no way that you can lose!
