Amiracle
I skipped doing heroics, flashpoints, space combat and pvp. I still ended up 50 before I wanted to. The only way I found to not level fast in this game is to not play. Stck to quests and story and you will fly through the game and will not need to worry about gear or credits. (do all the bonus quests) If you want to do heroics, pvp, flashpoints, and/or space combat don't do the bonus quests.
Sebish
At first sight i had a lot of fun with Space missions, but now i am level 50, use Level 5 Equipment (ship ) and loose every mission that requires level 5 equipment. Someone failed hard at balancing... If they dont lower the damage of enemies a lot i wont try space missions again at all too.
JCommando
Nope. I got to fifty and I only did 1 space mission.. that I never completed. So its entirely possible.
Joonbeams
To me, the only reason to do it now is for titles and the pilot orange gear. Pretty much the only way to stand out now since most people skip it. But yeah, not necessary for your progression.
shepardcomander
There is space combat in this game? I know right. Claiming there is "space combat" in swtor is a bit like claiming there is chicken in a chicken fried steak. The name does have Star Wars in it but the war is all dirt side, not amongst the stars.
