ChuChuTrain
Just wondering if anyone has done any tests or is it said anywhere? I see 50% crit hard cap some places which makes anything above 30% self-buffed crit pretty much not needed.... I also saw someone say that surge was capped as well at around 90%? Anyone? Its not a cap. Its just when you start to get really bad diminishing returns. I personally try not to take crit past 35% and surge past 88%, (80-85% for surge is a pretty good place to be). TempestasSilva
The best info I have seen is on page 2 of this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=159516 Crit and surge seem to come together, so I would just look at crit and whatever surge is, it is. Yazule
Its not a cap. Its just when you start to get really bad diminishing returns. I personally try not to take crit past 35% and surge past 88%, (80-85% for surge is a pretty good place to be). the graphs i have seen have a horizontal asymptote somwhere around 50% meaning you can never get there... ever this is based on the assumed curve from plotting data points with different gear wish i could find that link again, it makes it easy to understand... but if the data is true and the dimisishing returns is based on a single function then it would be impossible to get to 50% crit with only the crit stat (you can stack buffs on top to get higher than the graph i speak of) so with crit stat alone, yes there is a hard cap, you can get over it with buffs/specs
