But I sometimes get tired of seeing the giant gun on my poor blown out back (it must hurt so bad having that ginormous thing on there all the time) I know charged bolts and the spray AOE abilities require Repeaters, BUT just how much are you at a disadvantage over the big guns using a rifle as a commando when it comes to DMG/Healing? jedip_enguin Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 Rifles have much lower dmg and lower dmg ranges as a general rule, so its a nerf to every dmg ability you have. Some people have also said they have less stats, but I cant confirm that. Needless to say using a rifle is a dps loss across the board with no upside other than aesthetics. Half the point of the big gun is that we do a lot of damage through normal attacks, making us more of a damage oriented hybrid compared to say...scoundrels or sages.
