Potent Medicine "critical healing bonus" math

So Potent Medicine says that it "Increases the critical healing bonus of all heals by [3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15]%." Assuming I have a 50% critical bonus (ie, 0 surge), how would 5/5 in this talent apply to a crit for a heal that normally heals for 1000?

a) 1725 heal, from a 15% bonus to the entire heal. 1000 + (1000)(50%) + 1500(15%)

b) 1650 heal, by adding the 15% to the baseline 50%, for a crit portion that is 65% of the regular heal. 1000 + (1000)(50% + 15%)

c) 1575 heal, by adding another 15% of the 50% critical portion (7.5%) to the regular heal. 1000 + (1000)(50%) + (1000)(50%)(15%)

Just trying to get this straight to figure out if the top of the medic tree is worth it for pvp. Sorry if this is confusing. Thanks.

Short answer: B.

Long answer:

The formula for level 50 Crit Size is:

Crit Size % = SurgeBuff + 50 + 50 * ( 1 - ( 1-(0.01 / 0.5 ))^( ( SurgeRating / 50 ) / 0.1 ))

Where SurgRating is your Surge Rating (duh) and SurgeBuff is any flat % buff from an effect or skill, such as Potent Medicine. Short term effects like a Surge rating Relic increase the SurgeRating not SurgeBuff portion of the equation.

For more info see the Combat Medic sticky, where theory is covered in the second post. If you use the calculator linked in the 3rd post you can set SurgeBuff to 0 and see the change in your HPS.
