No customer service to speak of. Devs don't seem to acknowledge the failed state of faction imbalance, and pvp in this game. Just an acknowlegement would be fine. Something along the lines of, "We are aware of X and Y in the game, and are diligently working on a fix."

Faction imbalanced is a much more complex issue that can't be solve through variable changes. The best thing they could probably do is give a bolster effect in Illum to the Republics when their numbers are lower.

If you restrict people from making a class on a faction, you are barring them from playing with their friends. In a game about developing your character and making choices, they really don't want to be limiting the choices and forcing things upon people.

The stem of the problem comes from two areas, in which another thread outlined a lot better than I am about to:

1) The game's pre-release advertisement was much in favor for the Empire. (Why did we see Darth Malgus in all three cinematics when Satele Shan appears in one one?)

2) The bad or "evil" side is generally more popular than the good side.

Aside from the few bugs that people are finding that offset mirrors (Trooper animations, Alderaan first tick), there is not much to be done that could force a lot of people to roll Republic.
