profaneascension
I failed to Google the answer to this question effectively, so I thought I'd pose it here. Do only certain races or people born in certain parts of the galaxy have those pseudo-asian names like Qui-gon Jin? What is the etymology behind the names of forms like Shien and Soresu? The reason I ask is I've made up a few of these names which I intend to use on alts, but I didn't want to look like a complete idiot applying them to a race or class that really shouldn't be carrying such names. lKile
Well, one of the things I love from Star Wars is that there are a lot of humanoid (and not so humanoid) cultures with a huge abanic of options inside them. I just can say you: Feel free to choose your name! And if you like making your character's background story with your name, you have Wookieepedia to look up some information. Rouge
SWTOR certainly has far too many normal English first and last names, that's sure. Kuat has traditionally been the "Asian" planet in Star Wars, the proud home of Kuat of Kuat of Kuat.
