What do you know about the force? if each ability has an intention with its use, it may be the ability its self that determines if it is good or not, rather than a simple question of strength in light or dark. Basically, it can be manipulated by Force Users. About its powers, basically they are all different aspects of the Force. Powers aren't like spells, they are the Force in different forms.
