XBearX Posted April 23, 2012 Share Posted April 23, 2012 Whenever trying to figure out formulas, you have to keep in mind that some systems use multipliers that affect the base number and others are additive. I recently respecced my assassin to get the 20% armor increase. I shouldn't have been surprised to find the total increase less than 10% (from ~ 6120 to 6670) which in turn only made about a 2-3% difference in damage reduction. When you expect a 3, 5, or even 10% reduction in enemy mitigations, it may not actually amount to that depending on if it counters the base (pre-multiplied) or offsets the other increases - Ex. BaseX(150%+20%) - 10%XBase vs. BaseX(150%+20%-10%). I'll probably do some testing to see how important 30%+ defense is on an assassin. Keep up the tests, questioning, and challenging.
