xtoreador Posted January 13, 2012 Share Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) Hi everybody I was fooling around the idea of a perfect hybrid build for DPS and tanking, mostly for PvE, but also usable in PVP. i seem to have found a nice niche, and nobody seem to be talking about a build like this. so.... i was looking for some opinion http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801hRrbdRbozZ0zZbIbbdh.1 Lets me explain the mechanics here. The basic idea here is to benefit for 80% of two tree ammo regen and DPS while running on ion cell for the tanking capabilities On the shield specialiste tree, energy blast, dont really need it, the damage is pretty medium and easily replace with incendiary round and being able to almost spam HIB. the ammo regen, dont need it, you will have almost infinite ammo anyway counter attack: 10% bloc, not worth 5 point this high in the tree, static surge and focus impact can change, depend of your personal choice. again in personal opinion, feel free to replace the steady resolve, rebrace armor, static filled and indimidation. those skill and by no mean essential to the build. From that part of the build only, we have a close to spamable stock strike, with great crit value and crit increase and some medium solid tanking capabilities. Now on the assault part heavy stock for the spamable stockstrike. super heat plasma is lost point , throw to the garbage, but it unlock the ammo regen part of the assault build . night vision scope, nice little combo here with defensive measure. incendiary round. great replacement for energy blast, more damage and allow constant HIB on the target High friction bolt. great boost to damage HIB and ammo regen. and ionic accelelerator is THE skill to make all work. It make your already close to spamable high damage stockstrike unlock and make a free armor piercing, ammo regen HIB. So we keep the essence of the assault spec working, even if lower damage, this damage will be compensate by the spam stockstrike, ION cell and all the shield utilities From this, your skill rotation is pretty simple. Openner, mortar or your favorite. HIB on a target on the ground incendiary round storm or harpoon (immobilise for 3 sec) stockstrike HIB cryogrenade stockstrike HIB You got the feeling. Im not quite lvl 50 and cant try it for real, anybody have some taught on all this.
