Kelbun
Seems like a bizarro world if we can't read email from our ship. Stick a mailbox in the captains quarters please. And a shuttle pickup thing, whats it called? You know what I mean. Or atleast put them in the instanced hangers. Oh, and a bathroom. So every know and then I can have a companion yell at me, " Dont you ever knock!!". P.S. And a silence button for each individual companion. Atleast the ship droid, anyway. Kelbun
FedEx. And the mailbox would have an external drop slot.
Inune
Plus a class trainer. And a crafting trainer specific to whatever skill you chose. And a crew skill vendor. And make it so the quests come to me on my ship rather than me having to go to planets and stuff. Class trainer, Skill Trainer, and Skill vendor on the ship would not be a big deal. Quest comment is just overdramatic hyperbole that has no relevance.
Shillen
While I agree that it's dumb we can't get our mail on our ship, this game would become even more of a single player game if we could get it on our ships.
Skiie
Great, then you can have a game where no one interacts with each other, talks with each other, or even sees each other. Genius. yeah bro i need a new girl better hit up that mail box

I make so many friends in the 5 meters between the Consular hanger and the nearest mailbox.
Saetet
Why not just have an option for the companion to go get your bloody mail from anywhere, they can do missions that way, sell your gray items most of the time, why not get your mail too. Problem and argument solved.

HELhikari
How would the physical objects you receive in the mail get to your ship? The same way that the physical items happen to be at the same terminal as me, no matter which planet I happen to be on at the time I check my mail. Maybe there's a Royal Sith Mail delivery crap to people's ships (I think the Royal Mail in the UK is run by the Sith anyway, it would certain explain a few things). But really, who gives a damn? You don't have to justify every stupid thing in a game - sometimes things are just there because it's convenient for the player for them to be there. jetah
A simple solution could be to have different sized ships. the free one you get stays the same. have a tier higher - with mailbox. another tier higher - with mailbox and GTM another tier higher - with mailbox, GTM and vendor. well i hope you see the point. i hope to eventually own a sith dreadnaught. that would be epic. J-Sheridan
People arguing it destroys the 'social' aspect of the game astound me with the insanity of that argument. Someone that runs to get their mail is hardly going to be looking for any social interaction and if they ARE looking for social interaction they can get the mail from a social zone. Those of us that dont want to through the tedium of running from loading screen to loading screen just to get the mail can use it on our ship and be quite happy. We already wait 30mins plus for the mail to be delivered. The 'realistic' argument is completely stupid in this context. In a universe where FTL is common place sending mail should be extremely fast. The faction fleets are where you go to socialise and its not the mail people are going there for.
