Why is there the fallacy that a Jedi Sage is a healer, and a Sith Sorcerer damage?

Except for the animations they are true mirrors of each other. I've played both. From an aesthetic viewpoint, I like playing the Sith Sorcerer more, because being on the receiving end of that lightning is just horrific. Edited January 9, 2012 by Chiricahua
