Scorponok Posted February 5, 2013 Share Posted February 5, 2013 I'm kinda new to Vanguards but your spec seems really confusing to me. Since you aren't running with the Plasma Cell what is the point of going up the Assault Specialist tree? Most of the skills you have require the Plasma Cell to be active to receive the benefits such as Ionized Ignition, Superheated Plasma, and Ionic Accelerator. Unless I am missing something wouldn't it be better to put those points into the Tactics tree and get some skills that increase your elemental damage? I haven't been able to watch your streams but judging from the responses on here I'm sure you know what you are doing, but I just don't understand how it works. unluckyperson Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013 whats your take on the claims that almost all dmg bypasses shields? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=158112 This isn't entirely true, Taugrim outlined this, crits bypass shields and all Non-kinetic/energy damage bypasses defense and shields, ie. In this hybrid spec I am trying to figure out where the 3 points in Ionic Accelerator comes into play if it only procs when plasma cell is active. In the videos I watched you seem to always use Ion cell so am I just not noticing you switch back and forth or am I missing something else about the talent?
