predprey Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 (edited) Lvl 39 vanguard here having lots of fun with shield spec in pvp. I was wondering what stats you guys are aiming for at 50? Are you going the full defense gear route in pvp or are you using dps gear? Shield rating benefits static shield and shield cycler but in terms of pure mitigation defense rating might be better? BadgerUSA Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 (edited) I'll most likely grab the 4 pieces of Supercommando PvP armor. It has absorption rating on it and the 4 piece set bonus: Increases your damage delt to players while you Guard another player by 5%. I may toss in a few DPS odd pieces that I don't fill with the Supercommando gear depending on how I feel my survivability holds up against geared 50s. happyhappyjoy Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 Get four pieces of Supercommando Champion gear at 50. For the rest get Combat Tech. I don't need to be any beefier. Don't get pvp relics - get the blue ones with 52 endurance on them. Run with Ion Cell and Guard up but spec yourself 23/0/18. Get three more medals than anyone else in every match. ururururu Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 for various reasons, among which mechanic is involved:vanguard & powertech, absorption > defense.jugg/guardian, defense > absorption.
