Xael
Hey everyone, I am looking through the gunnery spec tree and see a few things I should keep in mind as I level as Gunnery...1) Armor-piercing Cell is your go-to cell type2) High Impact Bolt is your big single-target "whamo" ability and is highly talented for oomph3) Full-auto, Charged Bolts, Grav Round, and Hail of Bolts are where your talents fall to My question is regarding High Impact Bolt... I love this ability, and it is very good when it procs up. Which at the moment, being 13, is really only if plasma cell procs, or I cryo'd, or its a crappy minion incap'd. If I am supposed to be using HIB, and Armor-piercing, on strong and higher targets, where does the DoT I need on the enemy to use it come from? I have Cryo to proc it, but that doesn't affect all mobs it seems (especially silver elites). Is there an ability I have coming up at some point that changes this? With Armor-piercing cell up, it seems like on single target strong+ mobs, Cryo will be the only time to proc its use. Thanks ahead of time. MadMalag
As gunnery you'll be using Armor Piercing cell most of the time. When you Grav you'll be seeing HIB proc more. I think it only takes one stack of Grav Vortex to pop it up.
Dashall
Grav Rounds make them vulnerable to HIB. Never use Charged Bolts once you get Grav. That said, early on in levels I think Plasma Cell is fine until you get some Armor Cell specific talents.
Xael
Ah! Gotcha! Thank you! It shows it will only proc for DoTs and Incapacitated targets... so the debuff from Grav round counts as well?
Chaos_FTW
Yes, most definitely.
