DeathHenk
I'm using a laptop which has ati radeon mobility. I can say Nvidia has much better support than AMD. So I'd say Nvidia, because I also find Nvidia support better on desktop cards.

RachelAnne
The 580 is about 10-15 fps faster than the 6970 of AMD. But no game does currently need a 580 to run on max, most likely this will stay like that for a while so that the 6970 is sufficent. Keep in mind that the 580 does need a lot more power than the 6970. I dont know your PSU, but if you dont have 42 AMP on your 12v+, - then dont even think of buying it, it wont make sense.
