Which of the following SWTOR 'wiki' pages have you/will you be using? Manbropig Posted January 3, 2012 Share Posted January 3, 2012 I use the non Wikia one. The main reason is because the layout at the Wikia one stinks in my opinion. At one point (I'm not sure if this is still the case) local admins at Wikia wikis were not allowed to change the basic layout of their wikis. One example of a Wikia wiki (WoWWiki) being worse than a non-Wikia wiki is WoWpedia. Both Wikiswtor.com and Wowpedia are hosted by Curse which has been advantageous. Wikia adverts can have viruses in them: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/archive/index.php/t-208266.html It's a horrible website all round really and is the reason so much is deleted from Wikipedia even though it has theoretically unlimited space - because they encourage things to be put on Wikia instead! Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia owns Wikia as well, and lives rather a lavish lifestyle taking money from working as the founder of a charity while diverting as much things possible to Wikia to try gain ad money from it on the side...
