  1. The queue was just too long for them; I got in last Tuesday and rolled on Anchorhead, at the time, unknowing that this server would be the king of all queues (Waited a hour and a half last night, almost 2). Now some of my friends who got in Friday have turned on the Republic to join the nasty Empire on another server due to the queue and I'm stuck alone with my Gunslinger whom I love dearly and have invested 60 hours into.

Oh, woe is me. This is my kind way of expressing my new found hatred (I don't really mind waiting) over the queues dividing the player base.

  2. I agree with OP for the most part; His ideas add a much needed flair to the class, imho. I'll admit while they are vague, they did apply a sniper formula to the Gunslinger which to me, hardly makes any sense. I spend most of my time in groups sitting down in one spot for the entirety of the fight letting my 5-6 skill rotation fly. If there was a run and gun class to be had in TOR, shouldn't it be Gunslinger?

My biggest complain is in boss fights where I literally don't make a movement for 5-10 minutes. With that said, I do love the class, story, and the character himself but ultimately for gameplay purposes I probably will roll a shadow as my alt.

  3. Yep because they managed to get a dozen people in yesterday they are having a nice lay in today. I hear if they get another dozen in today they might take the rest of the week off. /endsarcasm

    Rofl yeah..

Maybe they'll use some of this widespread community panic and put it towards something useful like inviting a **** ton of people.

  4. I agree - What the F is the point of all this if the current servers (Where we'll have friends already playing) are at full and we go from staring at an email to a queue? Based off the reactions on the message boards, just OPEN the damn game up or make a commitment to at least allow every one to hit play. There's only 200K more pre-orders than there were testers and I'm sure every single one of them rather deal with server crashes than this.
  5. The only difference now between this and a "normal" MMO release is people are complaining about not getting their invites VS. disconnecting rapidly. Personally, I would of just preferred the latter. I'll admit to this being a form of slow torture in which I'll be sitting around doing nothing, sleeping, and refreshing for what could be potentially the next 4 days (Pre-order September).

With this said, I just read on SWTOR Dominator website (Dunno how credible it is) that the total number of preorders a week-ish ago was 965,000ish, not much more than beta participation in which mostly every one was in by the 2nd day. Considering the sheer amount of servers and the experience from the beta weekend, I feel as though it'd be a accurate estimate (with that number in mind) that Bioware isn't just replacing disconnects with staggering invites and perhaps we'll ALL get in today.

But who knows? This is all a guessing game right now.
