I have a bit of CC's but will not be buying anything for a while. Yes I am a subscriber and will save up. I just want things to stabalize and see if adjustments will be made to the shop prices, RNG, etc. Who knows, maybe nothing will change but Im willing to wait.

Most people when they play a game and dont like it they simply stop playing and forget about the game. Its been a year and these same people are continuing to ***** and moan. Why? Because ultimately they want the game to succeed and are bitterly hoping it turns around for them. That is their inner secret they try to mask. Try as they must they will never fully hide it.

Im returning and I am actually excited about the whole F2P transition. I played the first few months at launch but then just lost interest with lack of end game. Over the months I have slowly started to get the itch to play again. Being away I have appreciated many of the aspects that make the game great even though it has its many flaws.
I understand the end game is still not the best but I will be taking it slow, enjoying more of the other story lines, and loving the new folks that come in through F2P.
I know there are some things on F2P that are controversial but I will be subbing anyway, and after looking carefully looking into the cartel shop, its actually not that bad. Anyway, Im just here to say I am back and look forward to playing once again.

Sign me up. I just came back after about 9 months away and Id buy one still.

what is considered good?
-
Although it sucked to have to rename 5 of my 8, I was still able to keep them in line with the legacy I chose. I am glad to be back and enjoy the story once again. I will take things slow and see how the transition to F2P goes. See you all in game fellow Jedi Covenant folks.

I thought when two people shared a name when a server was merged, the character with the most /played time got to keep the name.
Sorry OP, but you abandoned the game, and your characters. Why should an inactive account keep a name over and above an active and paying account?
If that is the case then I understand the reasoning. Like I said it sucks but Im not one of those people that cries unfair when I get a parking ticket when Im parked illegally. Thanks all for input.
-
You are not on the same server. They made the mistake of using previous server names for the new mega servers that everyone was transferred to. They could have saved themselves and the players major headaches and numerous tickets had they just created entirely different names for the servers.
Thanks for the info. With my legacy name, the character names went right along with it. This sucks. Bad. Would a ticket do anything to resolve it?
-
Oh jeez, I thought we were finally done with these name change threads.
The choice on who got to keep what name was random, not based on who had the name first.
Moving on.
Im sorry this is an inconvenience to you but this will be ongoing as people will be returning to the game thus making it a more lively enviornment and an overall better experience for you and everyone else. Please dont add to the negativity.

So I came back after several months away. I had 8 characters on the Jedi Covenant server. They are original to there. I never transfered or anything. I chose that server in the beginning. So why do I need to change their names when they are original to the server?

Considering I havent played in a couple weeks and only had 4 days left on my account until they gave me a free 30 days, PVP was the only thing that would have possibly made me resub. I can tell you now that I will not be renewing my account. I seriously wish I could give someone my 30days.

I just canceled today. I so wanted this to be my "home" game as I have not had one in over a year. Not sure where I will go. I enjoyed the story line the first time through. Took so long that I cant take doing it again, hence a spacebar grind.
PVP was enjoyable but after doing the same thing over and over it got to me. Not a FP or Operation runner at all. For me and my play style, I found myself logging in less and less and looking at other games.
I will be back I do know that, but it will only be here and there. Still looking and hoping for that "home" game.
-
Option to completely disable cutscenes/story.............
I think its called canceling the game.......not recommended though as this could be hazardous to youre health!

Put me down for a no vote.

Hope not. They were a negative thing in wow in my opinion. Really really hope not!

I hit 400 the day after the nerf. Ran it a ton since then and have gotten very little. I dropped it yesterday.
Some 50's I know are using other professions to make more money in the log run once they get maxed. Slicing is simply not worth it anymore if you want to get rich. Augments don't sell for much at all and missions get on average around 3-4k for the good ones unless you're a sucker. When other professions sell items for 15-30k it's time to change.

Best:
• BH
• SW
Worst:
• SI

Not looking for a debate here, just simple numbers.
For me at lvl 30, 400k.

I have friends on both sides. It came down simply to better story lines on the empire side.
This is coming from someone who was always the "good" guy/side of any mmo I've ever played. I honestly had no intention of going empire at first.
-
It may not be the best thing but I am only selling on the GTN and usually at lower prices for greens and some blues. I am stockpiling more rare items as well. I have not and will not be buying squat for a long while.
I will no longer train all the skills, just the main ones I use.
I dropped Armormech as a result of the slicing nerf and as crafting in general is broken, and have taken up nothing but gathering profs.
Basically until the general population starts to hit 50 I will be playing very conservatively. I will be a money/item hoarder and very stingy in output. I am curious to see how the whole crafting is fixed in general as well.
-
I believe they nerf slicing too much because if slicing was never was to make money than why had it where it gives you money to begin with and for a 2000 credit mission and only get 1000 credits in return. Also since the patch i can't get as many mission discoveries any more i used to get 5 a day now i'm lucky to get 1 a day. I'm not saying go back to how it was, but if i was never design to make you money than even put it in to begin with.
This.
I just want to know from Bioware what the purpose of slicing was. Like you said, what is the point of having missions where you give money to receive less money?
-
I have a stockpile of them from the past several days of slicing. Last week when I tried selling them it was awful. If they even sold it was for a retardedly low price.
Now after the nerf to slicing is it worse off than before? Should I hang onto all my augments in hopes of prices adjusting and getting better? Just curious.
-
And now that they have no money they won't? I had no need for gold farmers before. I have a need for them now. Comprehend?
All of the sudden WoW just lost a bunch more subs and Swtor gained a bunch more. Chinas economy just got better.
-
I'm curious, with the nerf done to slicing, how will it change you're buying/spending habits?
As one who is still leveling I absolutely refuse to buy anything from anyone now. Not sure how that will be at 50. In fact with how most of the crafting professions are and how many vendor items are better than 400 crafted items, I'll be taking nothing but gathering professions and selling/hoarding. No buying for me.
What graphics setting do you guys use?
