    Changing the Metagame- PoT5 Ranged Dps

    Ranged dps is all but dead on most servers in Team Rated. A couple guys on Prophecy of the Five are trying to revive this noble craft. First you had Hadouken Cleave, popularized by Mudclot and Thurinlore on the PTS. (Double Lightning Sorc) Now we have another beast coming up. We've been doing some intensive testing with various Dot/Madness teams with huge success. Here are some streams to watch if you are curious-

    So, if any of you were curious whether Madness could cut it or not. It can, just try it.

     

    I'm going to assume you're either sleeping or playing ranked arenas yourself while Scold is streaming, but there's plenty of footage on his stream of double ranged. Some double lethality sniper, pyro merc / lethality sniper, and madness sorc / lethality sniper. He doesn't stream every time those comps have been used, but those comps are definitely in his videos somewhere.

     

    You'll see very little double melee (aka double mara or mara with a full ap pt dps) being used on his stream excluding maybe a couple occasions. There's pretty much always one ranged in there at least.

    AP/Tactics PT/Vangs are fine but...

    Also i was watched Bodies' stream and Scold's stream earlier today (last night for you) and teams that used to be competitive with you guys pre 2.4 (Especialy the DP's team with Wrucks,Ant,Tara,mlke) and you guys went through them like they were almost PUGS.

     

    So basically you guys gained that much personal skill in the space of a 5 hour maintenance between 2.3 and 2.4?

    If that's true that is some truly epic improvement in team and player skill.

     

    Not so much personal skill improvement. More along the lines of Scold's team doesn't need to carry four other players to victory. So no, it's not just because of an AP PT in tank stance. Go ahead and mirror the comp, we don't mind.

    Any person/guild involved with a particular stream always thinks that the people they are playing against are watching or listening at all times to gain an advantage. Not really sure why, guess some people need an excuse in case something bad happens.
