Sounds like she just isn't that into it...

SWG was a vast failure economically and game play wise. Regardless of what a few people with the rose color glass say. The vast majority of gamers that tried SWG didn't sub into it.
The facts are that no gaming company is going to retry the SWG game, as the first was a massive flop by industry standards.
At one point it was the second largest MMO in NA; it was the huge loss of subs due to the NGE that crushed the game. Remember, industry standards have changed a LOT since 2003, and 1mil+ units of a computer game sold 8 years ago was a big deal for anything but the larger Asian MMOs.

EVE already has everything you are talking about and then some. Sadly i dont think this game will get too much off the beaten path. Still having fun with it for now though!
I personally miss the 3 realm RVR action of DAOC as far as pvp goes, but that is probably another subject.
I wholeheartedly agree with everything about this post.

I loved SWG for all the things you mentioned, but apples =/= oranges.

Yes. "Like" is a relative term, but I'll continue to play, mainly because when I judge a game I judge it on how much fun I have, and not on the little things that I would have done differently. I'm having fun, so yes, I'd say I 'like' it.

Nothing has changed it's all in your head, i normally get 60 fps everywhere, but once i hit a warzone or ilum it plummits down to 30-40 fps...
Wow, "plummets" down to 30-40. You poor kid.

No macros. Minimal, official, and well-thought out UI mods.

Through no fault of your own? Everyone had a choice to make; wait or go their own way, and hopefully they'll migrate back once servers have settled down a bit. If not, perhaps they weren't as committed to your 'community' as you'd like to think.

Like:
1. The storylines and voice acting. I finally feel rewarded for my alt-itis.
2. No macros, which became the bane of SWG.
3. No auto-attack, so combat feels like every hit matters.
Disklikes:
1. We need the ability to customize the UI. It's not called a 'User' interface for nothing, and we should have control over it.
2. The lack of character naming enforcement on RP servers.
3. Searching on the Galactic Trade Market is clunky.

YMMV, since I'm personally enjoying every moment I get to play, and am enjoying each and every storyline and arc I encounter. But then again I'm not the type of person who feels the overwhelming need to skip to the end of a book, either.

Report it, move on. Enjoy your inquisitor.

I totally agree with you about the fact the game isn't released yet but the small problem is the fact some people where placed on server they are on because of guild placement AND bioware also knew how many people pre-ordered the game and should have made servers / guild placement accordingly.
Bioware has an estimate only of pre-orders. People can go and pre-order the game immediately on Origin and queue up, but Bioware can't immediately add more capacity to the existing servers.
-
As long as the queue ends before 12/20/2001 then I'm not complaining.

Any day now.

Hey, just consider download and installation as part of the game and you're all set! See, you're already playing and you didn't even realize it!
