  1. You gotta understand dude that while the whole setup might cost more, there are not that many people who would pay for a desktop just to have it shipped without the warranty you get for DOA products.

    Locally you could pull off 1200 or even 1300 with the whole check if it works / pickup & carry you could get that much ... unless you want to take it apart & sell it piece by piece even then it wouldn't sell for that much more maybe 1500 or 1600.

     

    Realistically thought, if you are on a budget of about 1000$ & can not get the credit for financing you want to buy new parts or research how to get the same performance out of parts which cost less ... if budget is not an issue then you wouldn't buy a used desktop anyway.

    You do understand how his pvp math is done right ? This guy does not play every class nor does he have an idea on how to balance them properly, if anyone needs to be let go its him ...

     

    Changes he made to the game after release only contributed to its decline & this is not me pulling things out of thin air, people who have more experience with pvp & mmos then him said this ... things should have stayed the way they were in the end of beta / release, game was amazing.

     

    Good people were doing good, bad people were doing bad ... now everyone is so incredibly close it is almost impossible to distinguish the difference.

     

    You may have a different opinion, or prefer the current ezmode situation of gearing up from fresh 50 to full WH, but calling someone naive when you really do not understand the damage this guy has caused just makes you look silly.

  3. Lol I would be SHOCKED if this guy still had his job ... anyone of us people who actually PLAY this game can do a better job then him without having to resort to blaming " teams of operatives who camp goal lines in huttball "

    Doing an extra 10% damage and losing an objective doesn't win games, living longer and saving it does though.

    Of course, the shoe can always be on the other foot and it comes down to not killing defenders fast enough, but when it's a situation where I'm "going to die anyway", staying alive longer counts for more than damage that doesn't result in advancement of objectives.

     

    Stacking def with no self healing is not going to make you live longer it will just get you CCd lol ...

     

    If your damage output is so hard that they have to get defensive just to kill you then you have already surpassed anything that defense stacking can do for you.

     

    Sounds like what you want to do is go Engi, door / node protection without los req, ranged stun & elemental dmg & double shield probe, you become very hard to kill, can still push out 600k in wzs & can protect doors / bunkers / nodes while los kiting.

  5. Only time you get killed is when you get swarmed by 2 - 3 melee & you have no heals on you in that case you want to inflict as much damage as possible on your targets before you go down ... everything else you can kite / kill 1v1 even 1v2.

    Stacking def seems stupid ...

  6. Let us compare our survival skills to Sents / Marauders ( the other pure dps AC )

     

    I play both with WH weapons & gear so I think I can provide an equal comparison.

     

    Firstly let me say I enjoy playing my sniper much more then my Sentinel, sure its fun rocking people with a Sent with self healing & cheat death etc etc ... to be completely honest there is only so much of the easy mode one can take, lmao.

     

    1) Our evasion MUST cleanse all negative effects & reduces damage taken by 99%

    2) Leg shot after expiring snares the target by 50% for 5 seconds.

    3) Shield Probe while active heals you for 1% of your health per each damaging tech attach ( can not occur more then once per 2 seconds )

     

    This would be enough to match the defensive abilities to Marauders without creating a silly (zen) system for us.

     

    This would be enough to help us defensively & would not be such a big deal that it would make people fotm reroll.

  8. This actually was my thought, well the part about how did cover just randomly break when (as far as I know) nothing was supposed to be tweaked on the agent/smuggler end at all.

     

    In any case as mentioned it's a very annoying bug in PvP and I know most snipers would appreciate if it got hotfixed as soon as possible.

     

    Really should not be taking this long, it is really frustrating.

  9. They are aware of it and have stated that they will fix it.

     

    What's the problem?

     

    Sometimes **** happens and can take a while to fix, you should be glad they have at least stated they are aware of it.

     

    From the replies already, it looks like it doesn't affect everyone or happens rarely, which will make it even harder to fix.

     

    It happens every time you try to take cover while moving 100% of the time.

  10. Whats the problem? They know it's bugged and are working on a fix already. They do actually need time to test it, they can't just slap it on the live servers minutes after coding it...

     

    There is nothing to test, they know how it is suppose to work, all they need to do is apply a patch.

     

    Imagine you are unable to use your abilities unless you stop moving for 2 gcds, that is what is happening.

     

    If you are moving getting into cover is impossible, you also randomly come out of cover, destroying your balistic shield or entrench.

    Randomly coming out of cover, can not take cover if you are moving, class is unplayable, you are pretty much a victim of everyone who knows about this.

     

    This needs an emergency fix, immediately.

     

    Support, bump, etc ...

    I know there are probably under a 100 snipers in the game in total lmao but we kind of need the help of everyone, help us bump this & get attention.

    Class breaking bugs need immediate fixes ... you could be next.

  12. Everyone I know who plays a sniper is getting the same thing ... its horrible, when running you are unable to take cover unless you come to a complete stop, you also randomly come out of cover.

    Completely game breaking but since there are only 15 snipers in the whole game they really dont give a **** ...

     

    I bet if this happened to warriors or inquisitors there would be an emergency patch fixing this right away.

    doing WZs in a full bm suit is a joke, I can not possibly die unless 3-4 marauders are on me & thats without guard, with guard there is no way to kill me ...

     

    I know people wont like me saying it but OP healing needs to get toned down ...

  14. Blah blah I'm lazy. That's what I read.

     

    I don't even feel like I have to work hard in WZ's to make a difference. I am a Chiss wrecking-ball, and have enough of a reputation on my server that I often see 2 or 3 players bee-lining me when I pop out of stealth on their healer ... and I don't even think I'm particularly good at PVP (people like Cwild have come up with tricks that I never would have thought of!)

     

    I don't know how / whether this will change post-1.2. I hardly ever use double HS so that's no biggy ... the Lacerate nerf might hurt, but we'll have to see whether the buffed Collateral Strike makes up for it. I think it will be a bit harder, but I'm not overly concerned.

     

    My Sorc Healer actually has a harder time in PVP than my Op. No matter how good your healing is, you can't make up for a bad team (I almost exclusively solo queue). I get focussed down all the time when I'm not getting enough protection, and while I can usually keep myself up (or get away) for quite some time, this effectively takes me out the game and my (bad) team members start dying. On my Op I can nuke down enemy healers, and effectively protect mine if I see him/her in trouble; and I have all the sneaky-objective goodness of a stealth class.

     

    I'm not saying that Operatives are "fine" and definitely not "overpowered", but I don't think we're broken now and nothing in the patch notes makes me think we'll be broken post-1.2.

     

    I do think that healing is looking very attractive post 1.2 though, and may re-spec full time if I don't feel as effective in Concealment spec (Lethality is lacking sex-appeal for me :p)

     

     

    You have to understand when any high end operative is talking about the class as broken or not on par with others they mean synergy which is the biggest issue in organized WZs, vs any teams that uses tanks & healers with even 40% efficiency, you will have HUGE problems because outside of your damage you have nothing else to bring to the group.

     

    I played vs a team like that today with another OP friend, we wrecked **** 440k & 400k from him, we both got ONLY 8 kills & lost the game horribly. Wrecking up damage is not the hard part anyone with an AOE & a decent understanding of the game can do that, actually contributing to the win is what people are talking about and that is where the problem is.

     

     

     

    In huttball we will literally get ******* on if their tanks know what to do vs an operative, which is to knock them off high ledges & force push ... especially if you try to do flag recovery, you must know how long it takes you out of the game for when people do that to you vs other classes who can counter with their own knockbacks or some kind of gap closer.

     

    In voidstar we lost our MVP ability of stealth caping, while it was easy as hell to counter it and brain dead ppl are the only ones who fell for it they still took it out ... its fine, the only thing we bring there is our damage & OS on door to prevent multicaps, we still suffer from knockbacks & have no counter to them or a gap closer.

     

    In awz we are also pretty much left with going from place to place, wall jumping to save time & getting pushed off the side platforms also takes us out of the game for a longer period of time compared to any other class.

     

     

     

     

    Now lets look @ what we bring to the table in all 3, as mentioned above it is damage ... that is what we have & maybe a few spot heals here & there.

     

    Our dots which actually matter vs tank classes easily get dispelled, our lockdown is on a huge CD & our damage is on equal to marauders, snipers, sorcs, sins, powertechs, mercs & jugs, we might do slightly more damage at the moment then some of those ACs... BUT

     

    While all of those ACs bring amazing group benefits and buffs on top of which they have knockbacks / pushes / gapclosers we on the other hand solely rely on our damage to even out the scales ... that is why it is SUCH a huge problem when our MAIN out of stealth attack is getting its CD increased by 33.3%, also do not forget that we are loosing crit % which will further decrease our damage of backstab ( more hits with bs = higher crit hits = higher damage )

     

     

    Now while I am not suggesting we get a freaking grappling hook our damage needs to be left alone and not messed with, BW has this idea that we hit too damn hard, im running 779.4 tech power pvp buffed & I can not get a higher HS crit then 5300 which happens only on undergeared people ... meanwhile jugs smash me with 560 expertise for 5900 - 6000.

     

     

     

    As the history of MMOs show us if you create a stealth class that lacks all the things OTHER classes have they have a high burst capability, I can go through a full energy bar & a probe and a marauder standing next to me will still push out more in his burst + gap close + have better defensives then me.

     

     

    And that is what the problem is.

     

    While I do love my Operative & I think us hitting for 10k -11k was wayyyy too much and I was alright with the first nerf ... this is just getting out of hand.

    Meh ... you know when in games you have that option ( easy ) ( medium ) ( hard ) ( insane )

     

     

    Lol playing an operative after 1.2 in rated wzs will be insane mode esp vs those tank + heal teams.

     

    I will prob play for a few weeks just to mess around in rated WZs and if things stay this way im out pera ;( I hope this doesn't happen.

  16. What kind of output did you see from champ to BM gear?

     

    I'm averaging about 300k depending on the WZ in 5 pieces of champ all orbital strike bonus

     

    I'm changing to heal bonus for my BM gear so there is an increase there but I want an idea of what output I can achieve.

     

    I know it all changes with the patch but theoretiically it won't be massive either way.

    I average about 550k depending on the game I can go as high as 650k solo quing, 650 is with orbitals as much as possible & setting them up with flashbangs.

  17. Signed would be cool but nothing like that is ever going to happen.

    PTR to BW is not a place where people who actually play the game get to suggest changes & talk to devs about what is being done to the game.

     

    PTR is a place where they check that the code they put into the game is properly working, they do not give a **** about your opinion when it comes to actual game changes lol...

     

    Talking on the forums is only helping people with 1 thing & that is venting their frustrations with the horrible things they do to their class / game.

     

    Im sorry to be blunt but what you are expecting ( which is very reasonable ) is never going to happen.
