  1. If the problem really is that they can only have one destination server per server, then why can't they just add an option to go from Tomb of Freedonwhatever to The Progenitor? That way, people who still want to go to Tomb can still go there, and people who want to get to the Progenitor can do that by first going to the Tomb. I really don't see why BW can't make a simple solution like this.
  2. I dont know if it will ever recover.

The main problem I heard from all my friends and guildmates leaving the game was, "it is too much like wow" or "game got boring once you hit 50"

Same problem for me. The combat system is (in MY opinion) just a copy paste from WoW's combat that was "improved" slightly. For me, this is getting old and boring, I want a combat system where hits/misses are not determined by stats, but by the players themselves, and I really hate how you have tons of skills and only use like half of them.

I also agree that the game gets boring at 50. The leveling was a lot of fun, but at 50 It just felt like WoW all over again. Dailies, BG/Dungeon farming. The game is a bit too "closed", the world dosen't feel as large and open as I had hoped.

And lastly, this MMO suffers from the same "problem" as many others (for me), and that is... lack of irl friends playing it. If none of my irl plays an MMO with me, I tend to get bored really quickly... and most of my friends gave up on this game months ago, sadly.

  3. I recently noticed http://www.torhead.com/item/fKS3FA0/warriors-gloves while looking around on TORhead, and I checked my bank to see if I had it, since I assumed it was part of the Warrior's "set" that you get during Korriban. I kept all the other pieces, but this one was not there, so I thought to myself that I must've sold it by mistake.

I sent a ticket about it but I was told that they couldn't give it to me because they were "unable to verify this item being eligible for your character". I did every mission on Korriban, so does that mean these gloves are not part of a mission? If so, anyone have any idea where to get them?

  4. I had a problem with 12.3 that made the graphics really wierd when I had AA on high, and I'd rather not have that problem again if I can avoid it. Going back to 12.1 solved it, but it also lowered my FPS.

It seems like AMD Catalyst 12.4 is out now, and due to my issues with SWTOR and Catalyst 12.3 I have decided to do a little research and asking around before I download new drivers from now on. Did anyone try 12.4 yet? If so, is it any good/better than 12.1?

  5. I am starting a SW sometime during 1.2, and I was wondering if it is possible for SWs to get the armored robes you see the sith wearing in the "Decieved" trailer? Screemshots:

I have yet to see someone wear those in-game, at least. But I am hoping it exists, and if not maybe there are similar looking ones?

  6. Having your character not be a noble pretty much goes against the SW class in itself. SWs are all from families that have a proud Sith heritage, it seems to be a requirement for being a SW.

However, there are Twi'lek in-game SWs, so it obviously isn't a lore no-no. The easiest way to approach it might be explaining that your SW is the younger sibling or relative of your SI and after the SI has risen to power, your family is now considered a "proper" Sith one thus opening your Twi'lek up to the Sith Warrior ranks.

I see you said your SW Twi'lek won't be related but I can't think of a plausible way for a slave or species not of a Sith house in good standing able to be a SW.

I see it this way; If you don't take the in-game story into account at all, which you shouldn't imo when you RP, because then everyone would be Darths and have many strong minions etc, all Sith are "the same" as I said, just focusing on different aspects of force use.

If you read the holocrons in the Academy it also says that the academy is now allowing any force sensetive to train there, due to so many sith dying in the war.

That said, I see no reason why a Twi'lek can't be a lightsaber focused sith rather than a force focused one. At least that's my opinion. :p

  7. If you yourself consider your character to be just another acolyte who arrives in academy then no, it won't be problem. However the story is written so that SW is a descendant of powerful line and is meant for greatness from day 1 so it's basically the matter of rp and how you view your character.

There is little mention about your lineage in the game past those few levels on Korriban though, so you shouldn't encounter many contradictions when rolling Twi'lek.

The game's class story will not have any part of my RP at all, her background will be different. So I'm assuming that's okay then, thanks. :D

  8. Greetings.

I was severely dissapointed in the Sorcerer class I picked for my Twi'lek main, and was planning to re-roll a Sith Warrior. Recently I read in an interview that in 1.2 I will be able to make a Twi'lek Sith Warrior as long as my Twi'lek Sorcerer is 50.

So my question is: Would you say there is no reason a Twi'lek can't be a Sith Warrior from a In-character perspective?

I know they are not allowed this class story wise because Warriors are meant to be nobles etc, but I do not plan for my character to be a noble In-character, Just an ordinary Sith who focuses on saber combat rather than force use, so It should not be an issue, right?

  9. Didn't they already sum it up when they said "Play a character race to level 50, unlock that race for all future characters."? Or is the OP just carrying on out loud?

Any source for this? I'd like to start a Sith Warrior and i'd love for it to be a Twi'lek, but I figured you wouldn't be able to pick what races to unlock. :o

Also, do you know if it's server wide, or would I be able to start a Twi'lek Warrior on another server in that case?

  10. After having been used to mop the floors of different Warzones for a week or so, and today having being beat by a level 45 Guardian in world pvp, i decided it was time to abandon my beloved PvE Lightning build and try something else.

I have zero pvp gear and grinding WZs while dying every 20 secs is getting annoying.

I was told pure madness and madness/lightning hybrid builds are good, but i have not played Madness at all, and i don't usually PvP much so i'm not really sure what to go for.

At the moment i am using my self-made hybrid build, until i can find something better:

I was considering using 3 points in Seeping Darkness (Corruption) instead of 2/2 lightning barrage and 1 point more in Parasitism, but i figured this looked better, but then again i'm a newb at this.

Any help and suggestions is appreciated!

  11. I am trying to fully explore "The Juran Mountains" in Alderaan, but even though i've been everywhere on the map three times i still can't find the last place i'm missing.

This is what i have so far:

I've been going to every "black spot" to try exploring there, i've gone to every area that looks like it could be it, but nothing. Any suggestions or help would be welcome. :p

  12. I've noticed that i am always 2-4 levels higher than the quests i get. Sure i do sidequests, but i've only done -1- flashpoint and no warzones, and try to avoid killing npcs i don't have quests for, and still i outlevel quests?

Anyone know if a XP nerf or a increase in required XP to level up is planned?

  13. Right, so. I reached Dark side rank 2 with my Red Twi'lek today, and i noticed that she turns pink. PINK!

I loved the yellow eyes from rank 1, and the black thingies around my eyes looks okay, but really, i chose this skin color because i wanted to be red, not pink. :/ And yes i can turn off the showing of corruption, but i as i said i like the other parts, just not the pink. :/ What's even cool about that?

May i suggest some kind of change that makes you able to choose which stage of corruption to display on your character? (As long as you've already obtained the proper ranks, of course) Because i'd love to just stay at the visual of rank 1, it was cool.

Either that or or Bioware should consider doing something about the skin color change the higher ranks provide.

  14. I agree, but it seems that most of the roleplay community is going on the so called Super server.

I just wanted to know if there's some RP guild who went against the stream and choose the RP-PvP server.

[Edit] I found this thread, that's a start.

So what? We can create an RP community here as well. Just because many people go there it dosen't necessarily mean it will be a better server. But the choice is yours obviously.

As for me, i can't imagine having RP without the PvP. I mean seriously, imagine being a sith, seeing a jedi and not being able to attack him/her? That makes no sense imo. :p

So i plan to stay on Lord Calypho at least.
