  1. i also have another question:

does the progress for the quest to get darth hexid stay the same for all characters or do you have to start over?

because im currently sitting at 27 warzone completions and all of that progress is on my jedi counselor whos only level 60

I completed achievement on my Sith Assassin, and did not have an item in the mail for my Trooper, but the unlock for all option was only 10 CC, so very easy to handle

  2. Right so, I lost all the respect I had for Game Genie after sitting there trying to do the HK quest series and watch them stealth camp the vendor, and kill myself and my groupmates more than once despite being politely asked to leave us alone. I'm well aware they likely could care less what I think but eh. You folks in Game Genie are great PvPers everyone knows that here, don't muck up player's PvE experience because of an ill-advised quest breadcrumb location.
  3. So, in a nutshell, like the title says, what has Garza done herself, or how did she get her rank and command authority over Havoc Squad?

A link to a credible source works just as well for me as a long written explanation. I'm just genuinely because from my perspective, from the get go she just sits behind a desk telling me what to do and takes all the credit for my work :/

  4. So..my main is a Sorc, about 45 now, I am full hardcore heal spec, all my gear is alacrity and power and every piece is Willpower heavy, my BAD games are when I don't get 5 medals or more, 75k healing, 75k damage, 10 and 25 kills, 2.5k heal and killing blow are for me required for me to consider a match well played on my part. Now, in my opinion, that's very very wrong. I should not as a healer be able to get 25 + kills and 75k dmg/heals with 0-2 deaths. Maybe it's because I'm 45 in a 1-49 bracket, idk but that seems wrong to me. I'm one Sorc who is in support of a Sorc nerf. Also, I loved Warhammer to death, and maybe all the BW mirrors on my server just sucked, idk, but what always gave me the most trouble was the sodding DoKs, I'd melt BW mirrors np on my KoTB and Engi *shrug*
  5. Until they implement Tiered PvP(god willing) anyone below 50 is cannon fodder and should expect to get roflstomped.

I play a Sniper myself, and I love it. I sit on left in Alderaan and get 3 free medals every match while I level and watch everyone else run around like headless chickens ^^

  6. Dumbing down the game or making it less complex won't magically make you better. You need to learn from your mistakes, and figure out what you can do better in a given scenario. If they decrease the learning curve, the entire game suffers. The original posts point is that people who are level 25, missing half their skills, in leveling gear, shouldn't think they have a say in the balancing of level 50 PvP. You have to start from the top and balance down from that. Look at SC2, they don't balance around the Bronze League losers, they balance around what Korean Grand Master Godzilla-Status Demigods do. That is the proper way to handle balance.

    +1

  7. Bump.

    Need more insight.

DISCLAIMER: MY USAGE OF 'ASSASSIN' IN THIS POST REFERS TO THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD NOT THE INQUISITOR AC

League Of Legends has your answer in the way it brings more clarity to things and what classes do. Most MMORPGs these days still toss around the trinity terms of Tank/Heal/DPS and this is a terrible misnomer and confuses many people. We no longer have simply DPS/Tank/Heal. To your question however, Smuggler/Agents are designed to be "assassin DPS" whereas Knights/Warriors are designed to be "brawler/fighter dps"

*** is "assassin dps"? I go in do a crapload of damage and pray you're dead because now all my damage is on cooldown and I'm squishy aka burst damage/glass cannon

*** is "brawler/fighter dps"? I stand and trade blows with you but eventually come out on top or stall you long enough so that my buds come and we faceroll you because I'm not squishy aka sustained dps/ret pally/fury warrior

  8. You do know your living up the the stereotype of Americans right?

Congratz you guys got your freedom, but it was only because... Wait for it... Wait for it...

You were saved by the French Fleet.

You didn't save anyone in WW2 you jumped into it in 1941 when Hitlers armies although still powerful were getting ready to fail at WW2. By what? Invading Russia something that Nobody has attempted and succeeded on a Major Scale since the Mongols. Though no doubt the American Military Machine ended the war in a fraction of the time it would have taken Hitler to fall otherwise or for a Stalemate and then peace (I.E with the Nazi's still in power but not at war) there was no "Saving" Hitler gave up on invading the UK mainland at the end of the Battle of Britain. But sure if you class "Saving" as SELLING us Bread, Butter and Bullets then yea you saved our asses so well. +1 for Capitalism!

The American government then forced all us "Evil Colonials" to give up power in places like the Middle East and Africa or they wouldn't lend money to us... Congradulations Western Soldiers are now paying the price for "American Awesomeness" at the end of WW2.

Too all the reasonable Americans i'm sorry i'm not having a go at all of you, but people like BrigOrion make your country look bad. I loved my few visits to the States and people were so polite "Are you guys from England?" my best holidays ever

    On Topic anyway.

I'm playing Empire purely because i'm sick to death of playing characters with other accents, Though the closest accent to mine would be the guard on Dromund Kaas that tells you the road isn't safe. Yes, I'm from Yorkshire and mine isn't that strong (Compared to that guards)

This is SWTOR discussion not dogma R us. Also..before you accusing me of being one of these nancy yank Americans I'm Northern irish. Yes Northern or Southern does matter, a LOT.

  9. I think youll find out they they have a much more comprehensive understanding who is playing their game well, against a handful of players who think the entire game is broken for everyone.

The gem definitley has bugs, but nowhere near as bad as people are making them out to be.

The vast majority of issues have been a user system issue, yet a lot of players refuse to believe this, and keep spamming the forums. This is probably one of the reasons why the devs stopped responding to some threads.

Theres only so many times you can tell people the same thing befor eyou shrug your shoulders and go " whatever".

Not to mention the sheer eye bleeding asinine amount of people who think that pos Norton their pre-made box came with stops all viruses/trojans/maleware etc lol

  10. +1 OP My system which I built with Christmas(ya know that holiday we just had where lots of extra free money gets tossed around?) money cost me 675$ USD in total, runs 64bit Win7 with 8 gigs of ram 6 AMD Phenom II 64 cores and 1.5 TB HDD space...I could've gotten a 4 core with 6 gigs of RAM for 400$ USD both my system and the 400 setup are by industry standards low-end as J.O. references and I run TOR on Ultra high 1600x1200 with every graphics/computer eating resource thingymabobber on high/maximum and have no issues anywhere aside from the inherent ability delay which has been established to be a non-client side issue.
  11. No one knows if the Emperor is dead..

But because no one have met him, and only a few among the Dark Council have said they have met him, Malgus is trying to plot peoples into believing his non-existences..

I have my own theory, that the Emperor is Revan, as no one knows if Revan is truly dead :)

Revan very sadly got relegated to being the boss for the 36-42 FP Foundry along with Hk-47 who got a terrible voice change..so vehemently disheartened and saddened by this

  12. Yea, in a dev doc. They explained that the sith/Jedi characters were just your typical sith/Jedi. While the other classes the best in the galaxy

    Sith warrior = sith

Agent = best agent In the galaxy

Forcies = You are NOT Vader/Anakin/Yoda/Dooku/Windu/Palpatine

    Non-Forcies = You ARE Jango/Cody/Han Solo/Shae Vizla/Calo Nord

Still dunno why loremonkeys are whining in PvP forums about lore...

  13. Those troopers are mobs, while the Sith is a hero... "and then a heeeero comes along" (the other Trooper) and the Sith gets WTFPWNed...

When players fight players its like heros fight heros and battles are more challenging than massacring a group of 5 mobs (in most cases).

Its odd that you force users care about having the non force chars as equals, while you don't care about the hundreds of Lords, Darths, Masters etc who happily roam the galaxy.

What he said, especially in the red...and again...this is a PvP forum you're posting in..

*hand wave* This is not the forum you're searching for.

  14. Simple really:

Agent storyline - james bond storyline - needed english accents.

British stereotypical accent = Often used for the evil guys in games and movies.

The 'british' empire is often used as the evil doer in american videogames. Its sort of a funny cliche thing they have going on that a lot of british people find amusing. Its like the presumption we all drink tea ;)

Yes, its the sith empire...but everyones british, and i, being british, find this utterly hilarious and so very awesome.

Plus as has already been said, the imperials in the movies were all voiced by british people, or at the least, sounded british.

Its all in all, a bit of fun and nothing to get upset about.

This is slightly off topic but I always found it hysterical Orkz in Warhammer 40k were Brits made the games so much more enjoyable because of that to me.

  15. To most of the world British voice-overs sound cooler/more impressive etc for the general TOR Empire theme and they're in much greater supply hence why they sadly often relegated the more mundane jobs and those with unique or less commonly found voices get higher profile roles. Also, the "Imperial" side of the Empire is for the most part ideally supposed to be in a large part uniform and nondescript further lending itself to the abundance of British voice-over folks. There's some robot chicken skit about how the Imos just give someone a fake mustache or change some minor detail to facilitate Vader's belief that "Force Choke" actually kills them and Force bashing aside that's pretty much how the Imperials are supposed to be, mustache here, hat there but nearly all identical.
  16. i was hoping this post would have contained constructive criticism. whoops.

Some dude makes a lolForciespwn lore related post in a PvP forum and you expect intelligent and/or positive helpful responses? What dimension are you from and how do I get there?
