  1. I have seen rumours that, while the vendor is gone, he will be coming back. Even if the event doesn't.

Also, I agree. The event was a great surprise, but an email to warn of the end would have been good. If I was a casual player like yourself I probably wouldn't have known it was ending.

  2. I really want that bank. They have said they are planning on it, but low priority given what we can already do.

Given that my quick bars were full before 1.2 I'd like a legacy quick bar that shows any abilities you've unlocked via your legacy, to keep them out the way but accessible.

  3. Yes. Let us set the quickbars to more than 12 slots! 16 would be enough for everything.

I got three combat styles, six pets, sprint, class buff, two quick travel powers, all before I get any abilities at all.

    More slots!

    OR

Keybind to a power, instead of to a slot. That would be fine too.

  4. This is true.

But I still shouldn't have to make over 40 level 50 blue items (overkill heavy exoskeleton belt) to get a single purple schematic... which I didn't need... so I still need to make MORE. It takes a while to collect that much ciridium.

I'm dreading trying to RE augments if/when I finally get the green schematic. I can't even gather the mats for those myself.

I've certainly had more luck since 1.2 than I ever had before, including augments.

I would like to see the lower level stuff get easier to RE after you've passed it, so you can at least keep your gear from getting too far behind. They could compensate by lowering the chances on items that are much higher level than you.

Or how about having the RE chance effected by the loyalty of the crew who crafted it. Also, I'd like to see an increased chance when REing items with an augment slot. It's an exceptional item after all, and I'm always torn about breaking them down when working on a new schematic. Don't want to throw away something with a rare augment slot, but I only made it so I could break it down. so a better chance of RE would make me feel better and that my Critical Success wasn't wasted.

  5. Everyone knew yesterday that the event ended today. You should have used or sold those samples before the patch. Now you can either destroy them or hope that there will be another Rakghoul event one day that uses the same samples again.

    "Everyone"? Really?

I would liked it if they'd left the vendor up for a few days to let us hand in any we had hanging around.

I traded in the last of mine last night, so I'm okay, but I bet there's plenty of people who didn't. Bloody Jawa wondering off.

  6. Clearly you're not exterminating them.

You may kill some to save their entire tribe, even a jedi could accept that kind of trade.

Try killing them all and coming back in an hour. More dudes arrived? Yes?

Clearly you didn't kill them all.

And I can't believe I just had to explain that.

  7. Why would a Light side Sith automatically be disloyal?

Imperials can see the republic making doomsday weapons, shooting their own citizens and denying their independence all the while they're run by selfish corrupt leaders.

I wouldn't defect to them, no matter how how light side I was. Sith atrocities are no better of course, but I'd rather stay and try to make things better.

  8. I agree, although at the same time i feel most crew skills need some type of change. Some more than others. For instance i am max lvl for artifice and i have ability to make purple +31 endurance advanced green intrepidity crystal and the mats to make +33 endurance magenta crystal.

How? am i supposed to make creds selling crystals, if you can just buy off some crystal vendor. Unless i sell them for less than the vendor.

Point is, why is a vendor selling what should be only what i can make and sell as this is part of my crew skill. I feel like artifice is broken, plus what is a +31 endurance compared to a +33 magenta or +33 white? If i am maxed artifice, i should be able to make exclusive and or the best crystals you can get to sell at a profit. If not then whats the use? I know its only 2+ more to the stat, but still if the vendor can sell +33 crystals i should be able to make +33 crystals or better.

Even if they take the vendor out, I think a 400 artificer should have the ability to make exclusive crystals and the most powerful crystals. I have no problem with collecting the schematics either.

Are the crystal vendors not a temporary things? I believe they're there to supply crystals you can't craft yet.

In 1.2 you'll be making them and the shop will go away

  9. If you have a character on the opposite faction (same server) you can also sell the items to yourself then post them on the appropriate faction GTN for max profit. It can be a little nerve wracking as you list and jump from one character to the other, but IME the Hutt GTN is so underused it is unlikely that your goods will be bought out from under you -- but just be aware it CAN happen, so you may want to price accordingly.

Or sell it for one credit and have a friend on the "other side" pick it up straight away.

    You do have friends right?

  10. Absolutely not. Tradeskills are totally borked and useless at this time.

Missions are out of sinc. Return on mats are way out of balance. RE is ridiculous and you will spend many a frustrating day watching your mats vanish into thin air. Even when you do RE, the odds are well skewed that you will gain the wrong pattern and have to repeat the whole process again. I gave up after spending 1.5 million trying to make a level 49 pattern that you can now buy on the GTN for about 20k. I scored two useless patterns and 3 "you already know that schematic".

A lot of this is being fix next month in the big patch of course. "you already know that schematic" they're specifically said will be a thing of the past.

  11. I have to say, keeping the game as it is, but having two skills trees / stat sets, sounds like a smart move.

Sounds like it would over complicate it, but I know what Nippon is talking about. This might actually be simpler than the constant nip and tuck trying to balance an eight person see-saw.

I saw City of Heroes get torn apart when they added PVP, as they tweak and changed the classes until it was like a horrible Frankenstein parody version of itself.

  12. Welcome.

Having tried both of those skills, I can recommend artifice over synthweaving.

My problem with Synthweaving was I didn't actually want the items! I was using Modifiable Orange gear, where I kept the item but changed the components, once I found one I liked the look of.

I was a sith warrior, and without giving anything away, Synthweaving is not much use for making new gear for your companions either.

Artifice will give you cool colour crystals, enchantments to use in your modifiable items, lightsabre hilts so you can do more damage and is set to get a lot better when the 1.2 patch comes out.

Of course, if you don't want to use the Modifiable gear, forget all that and turn it around!

    edit..

    Sorry, skipped your first question.

Yes, they're worth it. You'll end up with better gear overall if you're a crafter. The devs have said this officially, by looking at the existing characters.

It is expensive though. Expect to spent a few hundred thousand credits if you want to max out your crafting and get the best items it can produce. Consider what else you could spend that money on.....

I can't think of anything, but there must be something.

  13. I saw this guy, and I couldn't resist. Feel like making a silly post to celebrate. Finished my second character story yesterday.

    Look out!

Gonna take a month off then try out the Republic. I hear they have Jennifer Hale.

Sorry, if this is in the wrong, place. There wasn't a messin about forum.

  14. I've done something like this playing with the Mrs.

One us takes a Gathering skill we both need, so the other can take slicing and fund the missions.

It works fairly well but be prepared to spend a lot of time gathering to get enough resources for more than one crafting skill to burn through.

I keep the game open while I'm at work to get extra crew missions done and keep up with demand!

  15. The trigger is to make her kill her master and not killing him yourself.

What's the trigger that allows that Dialogue option?

I managed that option and got my dark Jaesa. Others seem to have not had the option.

  16. I have to support you here. Play your character how you want to play.

I fully intend to play a Jedi at some points and have them be a total ***hole. Because I can.

One day I'm going to make a nice Juggernaut.

    However...

On a roleplaying server it would be acceptable for other characters to disagree with your choices. That's roleplaying. The players should just enjoy that and I'd happily team with people who had characters my character didn't get on with. It's fun.

  17. I agree with most of that, but not all. (Finished with my first character yesterday)

First, I didn't have huge issues with load screens except when I first logged in for the day. After that there was no more than in the other Bioware titles you mention.

Social Points. I agree with the pointlessness at the moment. I really hope they add content into the game later to make the most of the ranks. Otherwise you're just letting other people speak for you in exchange for some funny items.

I quickly learned a way around the "Companion refuses to leave and sell your junk" bug. Just dismiss them first and give the order from the crew screen. Just thought I'd mention that in case.

Don't know what story you played, but there was no way I'd have been happy if I'd stopped at level 30. There was a major milestone at the end of the first chapter, but it was really just the beginning. I played Sith Warrior.

  18. I noticed them too. But as they're "game breaking", just annoying I guess they'll be fixed at some point.

Many of us are willing to give the game the benefit of the doubt right now, and assume bugs like there, and others, will be patched later.

Give it three months, if they're not fixed people might start getting nasty.
