  1. KOTOR 3 would be cool but not if it used KOTOR 1's combat and leveling systems, those were just aweful. You could complete the whole game by just spamming one ability and not being able to level up your character past 2 or 4 till you got off Taris sucked.

If they do make a KOTOR 3, which is unlikely because of TOR, they should have the combat play like Force Unleashed. An action rpg with BioWare's level of depth would be awesome.

Well all KOTOR was, was the Pen and paper 20d system but put into game. I think it should have RPG and action combat mechanics.

  2. I would only buy it if it was made using a reworked/revamped version of the KOTOR 1/2 engine to modern standards. It has to have the same feeling gameplay to even be done right. Obviously...setting a game in the Old Republic era isnt enough....this game has proven that....this game hardly resembles anything from the KOTOR era.

No Mass Effect Dial either. I prefer the classic text talking ala kotor 1 and 2 or DA.

  3. Alright so let just say a few months down the road bioware was dissappointed with the outcome of TOR, And then they decided to change their minds and make another RPG Kotor game would you be happy? I think I'd be. It would be more of a modern version of the original Odyssey engine and went back to traditional KOTOR dialog, Combat and leveling mechanics. Would YOU be happy with that?
  4. Considering what you have had to say in your posts on other threads, this game is not for you. You have constantly remarked on how you are not enjoying the game and how it could have been better.

There is no covincing you. From what I have read your mind is already made up.

I hope you eventually find what you are looking for.

I do too, I'll give it more time to expand. Like that one guy stated before. Maybe 4-5 months. GW2 looks pretty good too. But I have my doubts.

  5. Game has been out less then a month and 2 level 50's? Do you not eat, sleep, UHH "edit" or have a life of any kind? Do you play 24/7? I start this game 2 days after launch because I had to wait for it to finish DLing (digital copy-never again). The highest I had was a 24 till I deleted it by accident (waiting for restore). I know they had an early pre-launch thing but just wow.

I really enjoyed the leveling, Because it is true most MMOs really start at endgame.

And yeah alot of people here are right, Perhaps I should check back in a while.

  6. First let me say that I've been on WoW since Alpha and since for seven years. Gotten every class to max level and raided with them all for countless years. And yes I am a WoW fanboy.

But before WoW I was a huge KOTOR fan, I always anticipated a KOTOR 3. But TOR looked just fine for me. I thought that I'd finally get to live that classic KOTOR experience.

Now don't get me wrong here I understand that there would be grinding in this game, But I never thought it would be this intense. I mean Cataclysm tried to tone down the grinding a bit so in technical terms this is worse.

The Jedi Knight Story was alright, But I found myself getting bored with the dialog. I would just spacebar side quests around level 46 because I just got tired of hearing the same thing over and over again. The Class quest was very interesting though! I did love the ending.

But the main reason I'm posting this is for money purposes, I just bought a New Stratocaster and I have to pay that off now. So 30 dollars for both WoW and TOR is hurting my wallet.

But I did enjoy the leveling experience, I was able to get past the grinding no problem due to WoW experience. But now that I have my JK and IA at 50 I don't really feel like rolling another alt.

So can you guys convince me to stay? I mean I may just leave for a while and come back once they got more content, The bugs don't bother me too much. I love my companions, I just kind of wanted Bioware to have a story telling experience after 50. Since I'm a Hardcore raider and PvP'r I was able to get past this for a while. But after running these places it just bored me out and WoW called to me again.

So what does everyone here think I should do?

PS: I despise the Panda idea* Don't get me wrong.

    Thanks guys.
