1. My luke skywalker figurine from episde iv had the sliding lightsaber in his arm and it was yellow. Showing my age here but i still have most of these toys lol!

There were also lightsaber toys with the blades as yellow. The ones that were like flashlights with a little tube attached to them to light up.

Yellow sabers have been around forever in the toys.

  2. Why not just have a mouse over macro for attacking enemies? Then you can just sit there in a battle and not touch your keyboard and just move your mouse back in forth.

    That's true skill right there!

Someone using a razer naga or the like can already do this.

Mouse over targeting only allows you to gain a target by having your cursor over their health bar or person. It doesn't change the input in any other way.

Its more precise and lag resistant from my experiences with it.

  3. Just put the class requirements on these items. Its clear which class these items are designed for so restrict them to said class. Then the pets cant even equip it.

The best pet gear should be from some solo activity since thats where they are used mostly anyway.

Does anyone care if you can get epics for companions from solo quests?

    Make this a non issue.

  4. Burst is more up my alley as far as play-style, but from reading this thread and a couple others, it seems Watchman may be the way to go. It seems to be stronger with Strong and Elites. While Combat is faster with the standard enemies. My way of thinking says "What does it matter which spec takes out the weak enemies fastest?" .

Watchman can change to shin cho or whatever before a zen and use the aoe slash to sweep out non-elite/non-boss enemies quickly. Watchman's thing for me is how fast it builds zen with the low level talents in combat added to its own at the high end of watchman.

  5. Actually what is arrogant and selfish are the people who want instant gratification and a dumbed down game so that they can cruise through content that should be a bit of a challenge. Arrogant and selfish is wanting a lobby game so they don't have to be bothered to talk to people in the game.

But what are we going to do about the pvp warzone queue? I mean loot better/faster than you will get in the early pve stages just by sitting in the lobby? Are you leading the charge against this?

  6. If you type LFG in the search box, you get a selection of up to 100 people who are LFG ON YOUR SERVER, drawn from all planets, all instances.

Also, if you clear the search box and hit return, you get a selection of 100 people ON YOUR SERVER.

Now that you know this, you might well say this should be more obvious. And I'd agree! :)

And if you type in the dungeons name, it will show you the 0 people inside it.

  7. Actually you can put "LFG" in the tool, for everyone that doesn't know how this thing works. This will show you how useless it is currently because almost no one will be on it.

Furthermore most the people have generic "lfg" as their comment. This is because the tool is bad and resets your comments regularly on going into your ship and the like.

This also wont change the fact that a tool like DDO has, which is LFM, is more useful anyway. As you can see what the party makeup and the like are. For instance a dps consular might not want to group with a healing one and fight over loot.

This tool is just bad, its like the same one we had in EQ but without the open dungeons to group up in.

ps: there are 16 people on my server using it at 7:17pm

  8.
Maybe people just didn't like you because judging from your post, I wouldn't want to help you out either.
I don't need your help, i need you to stop trying to block the rest of us from finding each other with an improved tool so we can get into these flashpoints more efficiently. Right now there are 0 people in cademimu and two people in taral v at going on 7pm on my server. I'm sure somewhere someone is helping you complete an easily soloable quest atm though, so its all roses.
  9. My problem with this Flashpoint is that it only gives Loot from 1 boss. Making it just a time sink. I have yet to hear anyone in my guild getting loot from anyone other then the last boss.

That being said. I beat this with only 3 people before the patch. We died 4 times. I was 24 and everyone was close to me.

Somehow I've always been able to use the chests after the bosses have died in the instance. I never use companions though, maybe it has something to do with that.

I thought it had more to do with people wiping and the encounters getting messed up as a result.

  10. Actually WoW did have that type of community during its golden era. Most everyone did help everyone when I began playing during classic.

Is this what we are dealing with here? I had to double take this.

When WoW was released its defining feature was its bad community. Maybe you just rolled on an rp server and hung out in Goldshire all day long.

Community was staying up until 2 in the morning helping another guilds cleric get his epic so that we would have more of them on the server, knowing he might res me with it later. That guy in WoW was just helping you because you were a female charater. I know the WoW mentality.

I don't think these people against improving the lfg tools are all that rational. I believe it has to do with the fact they don't do pug flashpoints much at all to begin with.

When its your preferred method of play, its extremely frustration in its current form.

  11. Are the only people having trouble finding a group those that levelled super fast or those that rolled the obvious ten-to-a-penny dps class? I don't have trouble finding groups. Remember groups are 4 man now so thats 1 less dps per group than i'm sure most people are used to(at least). !You guys really could/should have seen this coming! :) ..jk

No it has to do with if you want to do flashpoints a lot. You know how pvpers are doing their warzones to level with a bit of solo questing and such on the side.

Some people want to level mostly grouped up doing dungeons, but instead they end up sitting around waiting all day on the fleet station. Now and then you get the group together, then you break up afterwards and its back to sitting on the station again.

Also the best group setup for the normal modes is 2 dps and 2 healers(more like one dps that can off heal) from what ive seen so far. The fights are all about avoiding the fire and usually hit like my grandma if you do so.

Heck a large amount of bosses have aggro switching mechanics anyway.

  12. In a game with a good sense of community, you will very rarely ever group with anyone you don't regularly group with, and dislike it when you do.

This is disturbing to me. It seems that these people don't want to group with anyone outside of their guild but don't want anyone else grouping either.

Is this some form of guild blocking where you are trying to make the gear in instances more exclusive?

Community in an mmo is the interaction you have with people outside of your clique. Everquest had a much better community than modern instanced games and i loved grouping with new people.

  13. I've had this all through beta even. For me its a SW/JK thing. The slow animation buildup abilities are the main offenders.

Blade storm, force sweep, cauterize and also masters strike. Sometimes they will fail three or four times in a row. Masters strike will go through the animation but hasn't actually fired off.

I think its the client starts the animation then the servers says its busy or the like and cancels it out.

    Seems a server/client sync issue.

  14. Well to be honest, we all know instancing is the number one killer of community in game, and I didn't see a lot of people arguing to make this an open world game with its dungeons.

Once you go the instanced rout you should just go ahead and do the lfd thing because after that there's no one talking outside of their guilds really. A good portion of people even turn off the zone wide chat channels. The barrens chat, so to speak.

I won't join a guild unless i play with them for a long while, can't play with any for a while in small segmented instanced dungeons where we all split up after 20 minutes.

  15. When he does is rocket attack its an aoe on the person he targets and he randomly attacks everyone in the encounter with them.

If you have melee range companions and you melee you all take the damage of each rocket. The full volley hitting just person comes to like half your health. Crammed together meleeing him will be like half the halt of all three.

This is why hes easy for a healer to solo but can wipe in a full group.
