  1. One of my characters has over 40 companions, including four or five of the droid/animal types, because she did *all* the alliance alerts that she could. Is that enough more for you?

No. Because like I said, most of your classic companions are just paperweights now, add on top of that all the ones new or returning players just straight up can't get because of time locks.

I dunno how your 40 translates to the average player having 40.

  2. I got this game when it came out, with a CE Founders pack physical edition and all, but after about a year I ended up leaving, coming back for a few months now and then. But after college I ended up not really floating back around to this game for a while.

Then I came back to find out I'm missing like...a half dozen companions? But at least Hexid is back in. I read someone say on this sub that they had mentioned wanting to bring back the other 'limited' companions.

Considering in the KotET story most of my old crew is either missing, or just paper weights and not actually in the story (Except for HK and Treek oddly enough) I would really want to fill out the story roster with more characters sometime.

EVEN IF you say no to all the ones out already, just give me something to pad out my woefully lacking roster now that most of my old crew is just a bunch of mannequins.

  3. I have an addiction to collecting, it's why I tend to go overboard with mobile games. The fact that I can't at least TRY and get some of these other companions is really making the inside of my head itch.

To come back as a founder, after not playing for a long time because...well...there wasn't much to do, and find out there's like a half dozen ACTUAL companions I'm now MISSING and that my main crew has been reduced to mostly paperweights?

That sucks. I would pay good money to unlock those other characters alongside my HK and Treek to try and fill up the empty roster of my crew in cutscenes.

  4. That's kind of a bummer, currently I'm going through it with my male Trooper and it's disappointing that Elara is apparently still with the Republic, but there's like zero way to actually contact her in the story. Apparently that happens with a lot of the romances, though, which is a shame. I feel like those were a lot more memorable than every character in the game maybe shagging the same sith lady or pilot.
  5. So I've jumped back in after being gone for a long time, and all my crew is swept away. I wake up five years later, with a bunch of new random people, and mayyyybe I can get back my old crew through some events or alerts? (I'm still not 100% clear on it)

If I do get them back, does it occur outside of the continuity? I mean my characters got married, I dunno if I'd have them jump into the sack with someone else knowing their SO is still around, but if I get them back and it's basically irrelevant story wise it kind of feels like it's a bit pointless.

So if I recover my SO from alerts (since the list of characters recovered through the campaign appears slim) are they just another skin for my companion or is there at least a bit of dialogue and companion quests afterwards to go through?

  6. They obviously already have 'levels' of EXP gain, through double XP weekends, rested XP, buffs, subscribers, preferred, free to play, etc.

I don't want all this EXP boosting. I want to enjoy the planet for as long as possible without needing self imposed handicaps to make it any kind of a real challenge.

Has Bioware actually made an official statement on the idea of disabling all EXP boosts? (Since everyone complains about the idea of turning EXP off completely.)

I would like the ability to turn off all the EXP boosts that are turned on by the game (Weekends, subscriber bonus EXP, and to a lesser extent, rested).

  7. With new characterslots comming I do not see the need to change advanced class.

Play a new character with a new playstyle and enjoy a great game :tran_cool:

What about people who spent money on things like HK (cartel coins) but then discovered that the advance class they picked wasn't to their preference? That sucks.

  8. Yeah, my biggest reason for wanting this is...well, I have to cutout some content to stay on semi-challenging objectives. If I do a warzone or two, I'm over leveled for my quests, if I do a flashpoint, over leveled.

I'd like to be able to enjoy everything as I level at my own speed. They gave us extra boosts to EXP, that's the opposite of what I want =(

  9. Let's look at the numbers, because the new gear seems to have all the increases in different places than the previous purple gear:

    Stat Grade 6 Grade 7
    Ship Toughness: 3350 4000
    Rate of Fire: 10 6
    Blaster Damage: 100 200
    Shield Regen: 30 40
    Shield Absorb: 600 800
    Missile Storage: 150 100
    Missile Damage: ? 500

Ship Toughness has a 19.4% increase in effectiveness. Rate of Fire goes down 40%, but blaster damage increases 100%, which comes to a 20% increase in damage. Shield Regen and Absorption go up by 33%. These are all clear upgrades.

Missiles are questionable. We lose the capacity for 50 missiles, but missile damage goes up. Since the old gear never gave missiles a damage value, it's hard to know if this is a net increase in damage potential, or just a more efficient way to use them (more damage = less missiles needed to blow up a shield generator, etc.)

If PvE gear went up by 20 to 33% every tier, it would be insane. These are not "sidegrades." They're clearly better than the previous tier.

    The numbers don't lie.

  10. I know I have a lot of nice gear that I'd love to be able to use without worrying about how in 5 levels it's essentially garbage, and I thought I'd test the waters with an idea of being able to pay a fee to get it turned from bound to legacy bound so I could send it to an alt.

Like send some of my bounty hunter's old armor to my imperial agent for Kalyo.

Obviously this'd be restricted to stuff that was BoE to begin with, but I wonder if that'd be something people would like to be able to get as a paid service, either a large sum of credits, or a reasonable cost in the store.

  11. Too bad they didn't sink a little more money into the voice acting so that not every player character of the same class/race/gender sounded identical to each other.

Having one voice works fine in a game like Mass Effect 2, but in a game like this they should have had the foresight to have voice sets to choose from so people teamed up didn't sound exactly the same if they had the same character setup. Every male human Jedi knight sounding exactly the same comes off as a bit cheap and unfinished when you consider the effort that went into the NPC voice acting.

It would be great if they fixed this in the future, but I'm not holding my breath.

Something I'd actually pay for from the Cartel store.
