  1. In my experience, the launcher does update the game but at the very slow speed. I am updating my game at the 98.36% and it looks like that the update speed is something like 0.2% per hour or so. It is no wonder that people think that the launcher has frozen at that update speed.
  2. This class is all about using your force abilities (lightning, dots, death field) - and NOT your light saber. If you face difficult mob, you can use Whirl Wind to cc one until you kill the other two, heal up then finish off the harder mob.

Just watch out for stupid Khelm, his death field will knock everyone out of cc. so wait until your pet uses it then cast whirl wind.

You can turn off Khem´s area effect ability. It is the ability in Khem´s toolbar which will hurt multiple enemies. Otherwise I agree with you.

  3. Best advice here ignore the Adds...this makes it super easy the battle is won before you know it. Also do not worry about interrupting anything but his 1 shot attack 'force smash' or whatever its called

I think the name of that power is "force blast" and it will take about 3 or 4 seconds for the Emperor to channel it. If he successfully channel it then it will cause about 40k hit points of damage killing you instantly.

  4. I think the easiest way to find another Saber Marshal robe and the skirt is to look them at the Galactic Trade Network. Those pieces are usually also pretty cheap because they are quite common stuff in there. Other parts of the Saber Marshal suit set are much more expensive and may well cost from 100k to 200k credits.
  5. I would recommend as an assassin to use the combination of stealth and mind maze in order to stun one non-droid enemy for one minute. In harder fights in PvE environment that may mean the difference between life and death. Learning to use that effectively will give you a chance to stun the strongest opponent and when he is stunned, to finish off weaker ones.
  6. I think the key issue for assassin is if you have played Hoth through. This is important because after Hoth you will get a healer companion. IMHO, to be successful in soloing you will need a tank and a healer. If you choose a sorc then you will have Khem, who will be your tank. For an assassin, you will need to wait quite a while before you will get a healer.

IMHO, assassin´s greatest strength is the combination of stealth, force speed and mind maze skill (1 minute stun). Using those skills well will allow the assassin (or the shadow) to be the best infiltrator in the game. You can easily choose which group you want to kill and which one you want to avoid. As an assassin I around level 45, I was able to do a heroic 4 droid factory quest at Alderaan because I was able to sneak in and stun humans who coordinated the droids and then I sneaked past.

  7. I would be surprised to see Wookie Jedis. I will provide a link to Wookiepedia:

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wookiee#Behind_the_scenes

George Lucas has decreed that there can be no more Wookiee Jedi in the Expanded Universe.[16][17] Notably, Obsidian Entertainment was forbidden to make Hanharr a Dark Jedi because of this restriction. Kirlocca, Lowbacca, and Tyvokka are the only existing Wookiee Jedi characters (though an unnamed Wookiee in Edge of Victory: Conquest appears to be an unknown Jedi student rather than Lowbacca), as they were developed before this policy was enacted.

If Obsidian was forbidden to make Hanharr a Dark Jedi then it will be extremely unlikely that they will change that policy in SWTOR. I even suspect that one cannot play SWTOR as a Wookie because player´s character should be able to speak Basic.

  8. For me, one reason to choose the assassin is the stealth ability. Using stealth you can pretty often choose which fights you want to fight and which fights you will avoid by sneaking past. If you play as a sorcerer then you have no choice but to fight instead of sneaking past your enemies.
  9. While we are on the subject of order 66, why the heck did Yoda and Obi Wan split up? They should have gone together to fight the emperor and then gone together to kill Vader. After all, Obi Wan said he would not be able to kill Anakin didn't he? That basicly set them both up to fail. Yoda making the greatest mistake any Jedi can make, underestimating the dark side. What is wrong with that writing??????? I don't get it.

You are right about that. It seems to be that during the Prequal movies the Jedi time after time underestimated the Sith. At the end of the Phantom Menace both Yoda and Mace Windu knew that a Sith Warrior was killed at Naboo by Obi-Wan. They had identified the threat correctly.

Still, it seems to be that they didn´t share any information about the Sith to other important Jedi such as Anakin. It very much seems to be that Anakin knew only that the Sith were the enemies of the Jedi but he didn´t know how to fight against the Sith when Palpatine as the Supreme Chancellor first implied that there were knowledge which would prevent the deaths of the loved ones. How did Palpatine knew the tragedy of Darth Plagueis unless he was a Sith lord when he talked to Anakin at the opera?

IMHO, the most important issue from the military point of view is to identify the enemy and then let your troops know how to fight against that kind of enemy. All members of the Jedi should have known that the Sith are probably very manipulative and if they know your weaknesses then they will exploit them. If you know that someone is a Sith lord, then do not trust that person. Inform the Jedi Council and let them deal with him.

  10. Well the level 50 pvp gear does give a VERY large advantage aswell.

I think that is very true. Usually level 50 players have around 15k hit points while a player with level 20 PvP equipment does have around 12k hit points. Level 20 PvP equipment is very good armor in your class story when you compare your hit points to the same class people who are in the same level with you. You can buy PvP equipment from the fleet.

I wish that more lower level characters would play warzones. I played them a lot to get better equipment. That made my character pretty tough compared to other same level characters when talking about hit points. Generally people do not use equipment which will seriously decrease their stats so I think PvP equipment is pretty tough which is a fine reward playing warzones.
