Maybe a couple of more people will gather here and tell bioware, that the gifting is not only immersion breaking, but mind-boggling and puts you in a position where you have to pay credits for content.
I have khem, ashara at full affection and xalek at about 9000 and didnt spend a dime on gifts, just gave them the ones that I found along the way. You just have to give them what they really like to maximize gains.
Also I guess im just use to the system of gift giving from previous Bioware titles cause it doesnt bother me.

Anyone who expected more than a way to explain inter-planet transit, a place for companions to hang out, and a cargo hold did read much into the game to begin with.
Its been well known and documented that the space ship is very basic for nearly a year now if not longer.

You gotta keep their gear up to par, just sayin'.
QFT got some pvp armor on Xalek and he is a beast

You can disable it from appearing then it doesnt show up on nameplates at all. The option is under social and select the drop down menu and click hide legacy.

"Uploaded by wowhorde12 on Feb 20, 2011", lulz?
For that poster about D3 been released Feb 1st. Pretty safe to say that it wont be. Feb 1st is just three weeks away, game should be in manufacturing by now and yet Blizz has stated they have still some major parts of the game (balance, art, rune system as whole) in works and major beta patch is coming "soon".
I didnt feel like doing a real lengthy search for a video that said the exact same thing. Login handshacking, booted, rinse and repeat. Doesnt matter if it was upload last week or 5 years ago its what WoW was at launch, and the lucky few who got on and managed to stay on long enough had more bugs, zones totally unplayable due to fps issues, leveling that was about as smooth as a french tickler, and end game that consisted of higher a lowbie warlock in badlands to summon a 40 man party 1 at a time, then wiping to firelords for about 2 hours till you finally manage to beat it into dps's head to kill the adds first, maybe getting the first few bosses down the having to wait for the reset because your gear is still to low overall to take down Baron Geddon. But by the time you get to him you cant go on any further anyways because its time for the Bi-daily server reset which will reset all the trash in your instance anyways. God damn i miss 40 mans.

For those who are leaving because of some minor polish issues i leave you this video of what WoW was like at launch and basically the first year and a half after:

This all sounds great. but taking away the abilty to use companions in open world pvp does that not just defeat the whole idea of having a companions. now you wana put restritions on what you and your companion can do you cant use them in warzones so least let us use em in open world!
Id imagine that they would do it so pets are restricted from the pvp area on ilum not just in open world pvp in general. And as other have said getting everyone with healing pets in there would just turn everything into a multiple hour long stalemate.
Pets are already restricted from open world heroic bosses like Trapjaw.

or you could learn how to use a pet, putting them on passive and repositioning them yourself. I know its a far fetched idea that you actually have to play the game instead of letting the game do it for you but still...

Try playing a healer and getting 300k healing and only getting 40 commendations. Whereas with dps I can spam dots and get 40 without even trying.

I've been playing MMO's since 1996. I've never had someone steal/hack a MMO account of mine and I've had char's that was the "best-geared of their class" server wide. My point is that I had toon's worth thousands which should of made me a prime target...and yet I've never been hacked. People who are careless with their passwords are the one's who would truly benefit from the authenticators. These are just another way to take money out of your pocket.
On to the cosmetic stuff, I...like thousands like me...play games as much for the story line as the visual quality. Adding things like some 3rd rate free to play MMO is lowbrow at best. I payed good money for this game, why am I not even offered 1 customization for this guy without having to shell out more money? The simple, and logical answer is greed. BioWare is greedy and they will continue to be greedy as long as fools continue to buy "the next best thing".
You dont have to pay for a security key, android app is free and i imagine the iphone app is the same.
