  1. To be honest, I haven't seen any hardcore PvPers or PvEers leave yet.

    Just the elitist ones.

My server is a PvP server and most of the players were PvPers.

There was relatively little PvE going on at any time when compared to the amount of PvP happening.

In the last week we have dropped down to the point where there are never more than 30 people on the fleet at any time. You can remain queued for an hour and not get a match.

I would say that the hardcore PvPers are leaving. Most of my guild, which was huge and PvP focused, are gone now and just waiting for GW2 to come out. They even started recruiting people into that game on the guild website.

When I started playing, 10 of my real life friends started with me. Two of us are left and we rarely log on anymore. The other guy may have quit, I haven't seen him in days. I'll have to ask him.

The OP is right, it's like the developers don't play their own game.

Additionally, how could they not be prepared to merge servers? I have played at least 4-5 MMO's from launch since I first played WoW and they ALL experience a drop off in population after the first few months. There is a boom where you need more servers and then you need to contract them and consolidate players.

This game is poorly managed and the developers are uncommunicative.

*I have also unsubbed and am burning my remaining time, I know that many of my guildies who still play have done the same.*

  2. I have always been a PvP player in this game. I seldom bother to PvE, I think it is boring.

Now I find that I can't even PvP. There are never more than 30 people in the fleet at any given time and after waiting for 30 minutes to an hour in the queue I end up playing against the same team every time.

    It's boring as hell.

BW better hope they do some absolutely mind-boggling stuff with PvP BEFORE GW2 comes out or they will lose all of their PvP community, which was most of the players on my server.

Judging by the population they have already lost the community.

A lot of the bitterness the players feel could have been easily avoided if BW was more communicative and didn't treat all their information and ideas like maps to buried treasure. Let us see them.

It might have helped them to find out IN ADVANCE what the community would want.

  3. Server transfers have GOT to happen soon.

I can't imagine that any modern MMO developer would be dumb enough to make a game without the ability to do this in the first place.

I have never played a post-WoW MMO at launch that didn't explode in population and then experience a die-off. It should be planned for.

I can't even really PvP on my server anymore. at 8pm there are fewer than 30 people on the Fleet. You end up just playing the exact same team from the other side every single day, often after waiting in queue for over 30 minutes.

  4. As a marauder who has played Carnage all along:

My average damage (I know damage is not the best way to determine good/bad play) has actually dropped since 1.2.

My survivability is about the same. Undying Rage has always been a great ability, but let's face it, almost any class can easily CC the Mara/Sent until that is over, I do it when i fight other Mara/Sent all the time. If you can't figure out that seeing 5 or 7 damage popping means that he has UR active and you need to CC him, you are too stupid to deserve to win.

Cloak of Pain can last for what, about 30 seconds if you are being hit all the time, which granted, is usually when you use it. Saber Ward comes up once every 3 minutes. It is very easy to just wait a Mara/Sent out and smash them when they have their CDs off and are super squishy.

Whiners need to stop crying that they are OP because they keep trying to smash the Mara/Sent instead of killing his pocket healer.

about them having too much survivability... well they are one of the few classes in the game that is really melee. This is a game largely built around ranged, and that makes it hell for a lot of Mara/Sent.

If you feel like the Mara/Sent you are fighting are OP you either need to A) start queueing in groups, because obviously they are. B) Gear Up. C) L2P. D) Give up, you are terrible.

  5. Besides your honestly quite unrequested and all around vulgar comment, I only have one thing to say about your one meaningful contribution:

    Oh, Hell no.

Besides your utterly nonsensical and entirely confusing post I only have one thing to say:

    You made no meaningful contribution.

  6. 99% damage reduction is not complete damage immunity. Educating yourself is the most valuable thing you can do currently. Since 1.2 i don't feel i'm killing any faster or dying any faster. You guys talk about damage being up by there is less healers in war zones since 2 out of 3 of them got nerfed, maybe that's why TTK is up? Because there's actually more people out there doing damage.

    This is fact.

I am not killing things any faster now than I was 1.2 and I am not living any longer either.

Marauders/Sentinels have one of the highest skill barriers to play and they don't really dish out that much damage for one of the only 2 classes in the game that can only spec DPS.

Maybe when you fight them you should stop trying to burn them down during Undying Rage and CC them for 5 seconds.

When I fight another Mara/Sent and they pop Undying I choke them or Roar them and then kill them when it wears off... easy.

They are not OP. You just don't know how to play against them.

All the crying about 1.2 buffing them too much is BS, I can tell you that the difference between Mara/Sent pre 1.2 and post is negligible.

  7. I played Carnage prior to 1.2.

All of the changes to our talents seemed good for Carnage, but it seems like I am doing less damage.

I feel like I am having a harder time bringing down targets than i did before 1.2, which makes no sense to me, unless teh changes to the way expertise works or healing (or whatever else), benefited other classes more than marauders.

  8. 76 valor ? So sense when did the higher level valor mean u will get more battlemaster gear should of logged off after u dont get bags if ur so qq about it. Dont come on here and qq about 7/120 bm bags with no proof. Why dont u grind 1000/1000 Commendations Mr 76 valor and stop complaining because if u really were 76 valor and still havent been getting commendations sense the last patch where u can buy from a merchant and full battlemaster then SIR YOU ARE A LIER.

Seriously? You need to stop posting.

  9. I've pulled it off before. Once. I actually came into a WZ with the enemy 3-capped and my side losing bad. Someone rage quit and I came in and we ended up winning.

The only time I quit is when my team isn't doing what they need to do to win. If I cap a turret and then notifiy them that I'm capping and then hold the position fo awhile and nobody even bothers to back me up and the enemy takes it back... I'm done. I just find a corner and let the time elapse. Recently, I was in a WZ and we took 2 turrets. The idiotic leaders tells everyone to go right for a 3 cap. I said defend what we have. They actually followed him right and lost mid and didn't get right. I actually left the WZ at that point as I hadn't invested too much time into at that point.

If you won, then you were in a salvageable situation.

What the OP is talking about is when you Have been struggling the whole match and you just CAN'T get another turret and the score is less than half of theirs, like 150/320.

Then a sustained 3-cap is the only way to win. And if you were struggling to even take 2, that won't happen.

In that situation just let the enemy 3-cap so you can start a new match sooner.

  10. The OP is actually right you know.

PvP damage reduction stats ALWAYS benefit healers more than DPS.

In Rift the good healers became unkillable.

It just makes sense. Even without the +healing this happens.

Damage reduction from a PvP stat with stronger stats means healers heal harder and get hit less hard. You end up with healers who can take your biggest crit and then cast one heal and it is like it never happened.

L2 interrupt is not an answer. My marauder can force charge to interrupt at the beginning of an engagement. He then has disrupt on an 8 sec CD. Then force choke on a 50s CD. So the reality is that you CAN'T interrupt often enough to stop a really geared healer from popping himself to full, he can even be healing other people simultaneously.

  11. More warzone maps.

Open world RvR! (this is the biggest thign for me. Warzones are boring compared to real, objective based, open world pvp).

Make resolve an activated ability. When your resolve bar gets full you can break the CC you are in and have temporary immunity.
