  1. Prior to 1.1, the game was playable at level 50. Not ideal for everyone, but playable by everyone. Now it's not playable and that is Bioware's fault.

Queues of an hour plus for level 50s? Yeah, that's totally my fault.

"You chose to be level 50 not me!"

Wanted to kill that fast. But ya its pretty bad now, i unsubbed till something good happens. Though a lot of waiting time still has to do with faction imbalances. Though with them releasing another same faction warzone it should eleviate that.

But its just going to be another Huttball that doesnt actually solve the problem... just the effects of it.

  2. Illum is to farm gear bags faster. There is no purpose to control it, no purpose to really even be there once you get battlemaster gear. Like others have said, until theres an objective or an incentive, Illum PVP will be a joke.

Sith outnumber Republic, sure with teamwork blah blah blah but ive seen plenty of times Sith standing outside the Republic base. That paired up with worst idea ever, to announce where players are especially in a situation where one faction is larger. "JEDI MRSNUGGLES IS NEAR THE EMPIRIAL BASE" and you get the picture about whats going to happen to poor Mrsnuggles soon...

Remove the announcer and let players actually use chat to say where enemies are. Give an incentive for people to actually care about pvping there. And if there is an incentive make sure its balanced before we have another nightmare 1.1 release day. So that way PVP wont be a joke anymore.

  3. Avatar was the most expensive movie ever made.

Avatar set the bar for technology in movies.

So, do all movies from here on out have to have the same amount or more of money and technology to even compare?

Yes, or i will demand a refund from them all.

  4. If everything holds true to how it worked in beta, you will hear about the "new plan" from all the fanbois claiming "the new build will fix everything," but it never fixes the most obvious problems. BioWare will not say anything until after the patch has deployed, and only then will it be a sugarcoated "hey, check out all this new content we added" instead of actual fixes.

    Like this?

  5. The game engine itself cant handle more than 20 people in Iullum casting and using abilities. Why do you think we havent heard or have a large scale Warzone? Sharding Illum to oblivion.

Just make another Warzone and get rid of it. Because once you limit it say 50 people in one shard... its just a warzone you can take a speeder bike to.

  6. That is not what they said, they said they would look at players that got huge gains. They are just not rolling back EVERYONE.

BTW I think the spawn camping screens were from a few servers, most people in the other threads just had big fights outside the bases. Same on my server.

They cant ban them, and if they did it shows a lack of judgement. Its a mechanic in the game. Its not exploited, since anyone could freely do it and HAS. So why only punish a small minority that gained too much when everyone profited from it?

  7. Im an NPC.... and Biochem needs to be nerfed. Just the other day i was chilling in Eternity Vault and a Jedi Guardian ganks me. Oh i didnt really mind at first i have over 200k health. Then when i had him at like 25% health he is all of a sudden full. THERE WERE NO HEALERS! Nerf noa plox!

(sounds like a legit concern to me)

  8. 1.They were.

    2. Yes, this was as is known by Bioware.

    3.Yes, pretty much.

    4. 100%.

    5. At least for a while.

    6. I've never heard of a rollback happening, even when asking beta players.

So yes, pretty nice summary and yes I am annoyed... :D

    2) oh ya it was known. 30 sec CD difference on flashbang from IA and Smug.

I lost faith in BW, i really wanted to love this game. Storylines are nice. PVE is nice. But PVP is what makes an MMO for me, otherwise its just extended cooperative.

  9. maybe get rid of your quest greens and do some dailies you'll have 126 rating weapons and armourings in 2 days max.

Spent about 200k at 50 to do so. Not that hard. Especially considering i had well over that and didnt have to really do anything to earn it. You can expect to win against 50s in PVP gear if you are still in 40-45 gear.

  10. sorry .. nice try but you can't say that classes balance when you dont take alook at the advanced classes ..

    so sage+shadow are balanced with

sniper + op .. well maybe op's are 20% better then snipers, u can't see that in your samples..

or that a dps sage does more damage then dps shadows thx to aoe ..

    etc etc etc

if there was a way to see the advanced classes you would perhaps see higher differences in performance,

Not looknig at spec or gear. Its hardly highly detailed. Or even has any analysis. Sure you can post numbers. BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN!? lol

  11. Regardless of any fibs in the original post; there is no excuse for this gearing system to exist.

Not even a month after launch. You want them to hand over tier 3 PVP gear? Do the dailies, 2 bags right there. Do the weeklies 6 bags right there.

20 bags a week plus ones you buy. Even if its a one in five chance to get gear you get 4 pieces and 48 commendations (at 3 per bag you didnt get gear in and i beleive ou can get upto 5) which can buy a peice. I think thats a mainset or weapon, offhand, implants and earpeice.

5 peices a week just by doing dailies. In 3 weeks you are set with a fully geared toon. I do not see a problem in that.

  12. It's not just the % boost though, the PvP gear has substantially more endurance on it when you take the full set into consideration. The weapons also give a substantial boost to damage from the force/tech power they provide. One piece is not going to change the game but you cannot tell me that a person who has just hit level 50 and a person in full Battlemaster gear, even if evenly skilled, are anywhere close to evenly matched.

Actually i am telling you that because i modded a set of level 40 pvp gear (no exp mind you) with level 50 purple mods i got on Illum from the dailies, which are really simple quests like go blow up this landing pad. Its really not that hard to gear yourself up. You have to work for it. Of course endgame has the bigest gear gaps. But for a reason. So you have something to do.

Battle master is tier 3, anyone in pve gear is at tier 0. Of course its better. Id be appalled if i had to grind warzones to 60 valor for say a 5% difference and 3 tiers.

  13. Removing gear from PvP is not required, bw just needs to remove expertise.

PvP @50 without expertise - do zero dmg to champ geared people, and die to a mean look

PvP @50 with 200-300 expertise - facemelt anyone who doesn't have pvp gear, no questions asked

PvP @50 with 400+ valor - 1vs4+ if they don't have pvp gear

... about sums it up. I really feel sorry for the people who hit 50 after L50 bracket comes online.

I dont see this at all either. Ever think they are a tank spec? or just know when to pop damage mitigation when?

Expertise reduces damage and increases it too. But by a percentage. Say you crit a 2k stockstrike, which I did in gear i optained through GTN and questing at 50. With say a 10% damage boost (almost fully geared in champion) thats 2.2k. That is HARDLY enough to kill 4 people.

And on the damage reduction side. Similar story but reverse. Does 1.8k.

Not to be rude but you could just have really bad gear on. I spent about 200k on mods to get my gear so my bonus damage was at 200 to over 300 and my main weapon was at 270-410.

  14. Cant recall the exact name of the server I'm on, something like Theedyis Nithal or some crap, but Republic doesnt hardly even bother with warzones. If I'm really lucky I might get 2 Empire vs Republic out of 15 matches.

Thank god I can tolerate huttball (not my favorite but I can stand it).

*EDIT* When they do queue they get slaughtered. Some of us actually encourage the group to go a little easy on them to hopefully get them queueing more lol.

Could just have too many Sith on your server so you are more likely to queue for that. Its that way on a lot of servers. I think of it as motivation to role Republic but... meh.

  15. If it's any consolation, we hate being saddled with lowbies who don't know how to pass just as much as you hate getting rolled by 50s.

<---Member of a premade, eagerly awaiting the 50 bracket

Same... I think its wonderful to have new people playing warzones so fast. But not against fully geared and experienced 50s. talents and knowledge make a huge difference.

  16. A few weeks ago. it was something like 7 to 3 Sith. Now its 5 to 5. Odly enough had my first Rep v Rep match in Huttball today on Veela. SHOCKING i know. Had an epiphony moment when i was like "bounty hunter dont have that helm... wait".

I dont know if i can say this for all servers but it seemed like on mine atleast that more republic players were taking their time leveling then the Sith who had power leveled to 50 by new years. Because now i rarely get group members under 30 and majority are 50. Where as around new years it was majority under 30.

Veela seems to be pretty balanced.
