  1. if i didnt play in a premade i would not play

its the only fun i get out of the game, is the queue with the "friends" i have met online playing games in the past

why should i not play? why should i care what you think?

Yes we win about 70% of games, is that my or the group i play in's problem??

do you have an alternative wz method we can join? no... did not think so..

    so kindly fu*k off.

  2. i procced back to back RS against a jedi sentinel and still lost

    fact :-P

wheres his nerf i ask you :hope_05:

(its actually very sad, but very true), i did catch him at 30 stacks of centered but that is none the less oblivious to the point... i literally procced back to back in a fight i engaged with at full hp and left dead... :s

lol, im the one being nerfed thou, as glowsticks is the way to go clearly

(p.s in all seriousness, i understand this happened as most likely i was not concentrating or because he had his defensive cd's all up while i was proccing back to back what seemed to be "pointless" RS's on a 600 power (i had also popped relic and crit cd) only to watch my dmg hit for double figures

ah that is right, sentinels are being "buffed" in upcoming patch, silly me...

    gg.

  3. Hey there,

I noticed a popular demand in the new feedback-request-thread is "remove expertise". I just wanted to hear arguments for that, and discuss them.

    read:

"i read a thread that is already discussing this topic but i worded it in a new manner and wish for you to please discuss it here instead"

expertise is not going anywhere, it is a pvp stat suited to pvp

raiding gear is raiding gear, pvp gear is pvp gear

get used to it, it is already simple to get, and more simple once 1.2 comes, which is a good thing, /end thread

  4. you created a new topic for this... seriously? to say that you fell outside the map?

here is a list of people who care what you think:

  5. You are wrong sire its not "far more" reliable, 15% increase on the rocket punch proc rate is hardly noticeable, the RNG is still there just in a timer now. Meaning You still will go on some fight without a single proc.

as per other thread where you stated 10% and i asked where this number was coming from as patch notes only state "significant increase", where is this 15% now coming from??

is this direct from PTR? can anyone else actually clarify as you seem to be the only person I have seen on the forums who has actual figures...

  6. Its not "stabilizing" they are buffing the chances to proc by about 10% meaning you have about the same proc rate as before but this time you have to wait 6 secs after each proc.

where are you getting the 10% figure from out of interest?

I have read the same patch notes and all it says is "The chance to trigger this effect has been increased significantly"

a significant increase to me is not 10% ??

I am not saying you are wrong, I am just wondering were this figure has been plucked from

  7. you may feel like you "worked hard" for your rank

where as i, and a lot of others have watched people abuse turrets in ilum, afk in warzones or the like and do not feel you should (not you specifically, but a percentage of the people who have also attained this rank) should be rewarded for doing nothing towards contributing

getting the rank does not prove you have any skill, but that you in your infinite wisdom decided to spend a lot of time on 1 character doing warzone after warzone

Should a player for example, like myself.. who instead of doing warzones and being bored on 1 character who decided to try different classes, but still do the same amount of warzones across all characters be "punished" because I did not want to play 1 specific class role??

you seem to imply that it is only 'new customers' who are stealing your cookies, well let me put your own metaphor right back at you

you walk into your little bakery and order that same stagnant cookie day after day, I also walk into same said bakery day after day, but i differ from day to day and instead of ordering a cookie I have a muffin, or maybe a cake

should you be put forward of me in that line because you chose to eat that same cookie day after day?

personally I feel it would be bad business, and if you got put to the front of line ahead of me, i would ram the aforementioned cookie where the sun doesn't shine.

Personally I feel the OP comes across as you want to be put on a pedestal for doing something of your own choosing.. and what is worse is you feel deprived because you are not been rewarded for doing so. Get in the real world please..

  8. The DPS spec tree.

    On a tank.

Being able outburst pure DPS classes, not one in a blue moon, very reliably. Sometimes more luck, sometimes less, but generally reliable due to extremely high proc rates with no cooldown on the proc(until 1.2 that is).

I'd reconsider who is the complete moron here if I were you.

    it is not a tank

    their is 2 dps tree's, 1 tank

    same as assassin

same as most classes that have either the option of 1 healer/2dps, 1tank/2dps tree's

by your general consensus, op's or merc's, or sorc/sage should not be doing damage because they are "healers", deception or madness assassins should always lose or do little dps because they are "tanks"... point... they are not tanks!!

I have reconsidered and have concluded...that your posts do nothing to prove otherwise, they only further show that your opinion should be immediately disregarded as complete drivel.

  9. I like how bads scream RIP for a OP spec that is being balanced so you can't gimp people in 4 GCDs as a friggin tank.

the fact you chose to contribute to a thread labelled specifically with the dps spec tree by comments such as this, just shows you are a complete moron.

    have a nice day

  10. so many things wrong with this post, unsure as to where to begin...

    unsure if troll or delusional

did you proof read what you wrote out of interest? I do not mean grammar errors as they do not bother me in the slightest, i mean in the actual points you are trying to put across?

seriously... I am not going to take this seriously and hope this post drifts like tumbleweed down to the bottom, but visiting the pvp forums often I know plenty of people will take the bait soon enough

  11. Stop worrying about which class is the most OP and play the class you enjoy the most in terms of story, mechanics, and playstyle. Anything else will lead to your eventual exit.

    ^this

although the exit is usually not the case, it just ends up in rolling the next FOTM to be able to utilize bad skills to look better from what I have witnessed in other games

  12. needs a "filler", which definitely should not be our "default attack" (rapid shots or VG equivalent).. which it looks to be from what i can see. That or the heat vented from RS proc should be 20+ as mentioned by previous poster

heat is going to be quite a problem otherwise

drastically adjust the heat amount for the dot attack if you want us to open with that to be able to use RS/HIB before trying to acquire the proc via rocket punch/flame burst otherwise its not viable unless vent heat is available. Or the other option is just to be relying on "default" attack to pray you get combustible tick from it so you can hit railshot before starting rotation.

i am not completely against the changes but think it can be implemented in a more effective manner. Mostly because i understand proccing 3 or 4 times in a row is just an insta kill for us (as rare as it is), an improved chance to proc is ok but if they wanted it on a 6s cd, why not just make it a 6sec cd for pyro spec and get it over and done with, why just give us more rng and subsequently bigger heat problems.. furthermore how will that balance out in pve (i know this is pvp forum, and i only bring this up because how would they expect the class to still be a viable dps spec for the players that do ops)

I may only pvp on the PT, but i do understand that when they "balance" a class they cannot just do it based on solely pvp or pve otherwise it is not a viable solution which is why i bring it up.

still unsure really without seeing it first hand, would like to be able to copy characters to PTR so could test these things, but heard you actually have to lvl your PTR characters, is it any wonder why endgame bugs are so prolific when this is the case?

  13. I say we should take away assassinate for tank spec shadows and give to to deception only. And add a heal/cast debuff to surging discharge. ;)

Off topic - i admit i properly laughed when i seen your sig, thanks for cheering up a very tired deception assassin:)

edit: the deception remains the "main" however since then my pyro PT "alt" has overtook him on creds/valor rank :s

i know for all intents and purposes tank spec would be more viable, But its just not what i wanted my assassin to be, so the assassin is left for raids, and some pvp if im bored of facemelting people on the PT

  14.

[rail shot/high impact bolt] totaly broken and stupidly overpowerd right now, these abilitys ignore 90% of the targts armor have an increased 30% crit damage bonus ontop of your current surge and have roughly another 20% to 30% damage increase from procs.

the silly thing is even in tank spec with tank gear on powertechs they can still make rail**** hit for around the 4k to 6k mark.

rail shot should have no more than roughly 30% armor pen and 10% crit damage bonus.

    False.

Your thread only emphasises everything that is currently wrong with this forum.

This last statement may confuse you, so i will clear it up

no factual evidence, no knowledge, lack of information except for lies made up on the spot

followed by a "Cry" to "Nerf" that of which you do not already understand to begin with

    In closing,

    Suck it up princess

  15. enjoyed swg crafting when it was the original 12 pt system,

was a 12 pt master chef / artisan with an alt 12pt weaponsmith and had one of the busiest shops in dantooine at one stage (i quit after "THE update" ™)

but their is rose tinted glasses there I am sure, for new crafters they were never going to compete, because material spawns of the "best" nature sometimes went months of not coming, and because you still had some of the best meats, or spawns you could never be challenged because the stats on your canape/brandy etc were never going to be beaten except by fellow 12 pt crafters who had backlogged those spawns. Sure I got great enjoyment from it as i busted my hump, but how would "new" or aspiring crafters ever going to compete? people knew my shop would always be full of the best pvp foods available or that if they wanted one of the best acklay stun batons or power hammers, or t-21 rifles that their was only 2 or 3 shops that were guaranteed to have them in stock. (mine and jim-bob, god i miss those euro chimaera days)

the social aspect of it was great though, i had hunter contracts for meat, other guildies or acquaintances who would pop down harvesters at a location on contracts and know i would always be there, it was like having employees:)

The crafting system in the game was unique i must admit, im not a huge fan of the TOR one were i can't even craft anything. (i.e my companions do it all, best i can do is scan a box out in the open, i can't even use the crafting skills on my ship etc)

To a lesser extent i even enjoyed the eq2 crafting system a lot more than i do with this one, alas the eq2 one WAS a grind though, it was almost like levelling a toon to endgame the amount of time taken, which in itself is pretty bad yes.. but the reward was you didnt have every player on your server with 400/400 crafting skills because they could click 1 button and it made your player far more unique that you actually did this.

  16. last night got permanently CC'ed by a Jedi Knight *unsure if was sentinel or guardian*

by this, i mean permanent... after being stood there for 45 seconds watching my healer friend run around as i counted the seconds on vent of how long the 'cc' was i used /stuck to kill myself

at which point i rezzed in spawn on civil war, still "stuck" in the CC and was booted out of warzone for being a "deserter"

its only happened twice and no idea why it happened, i did /bug it but thought it should be mentioned if for no other reason than for it to be made aware of

  17. My guild knows how much damage they do so we focus and kill them easily.

The reason they're so amazing is they basically ignore armor. If you leave a pyro PT alive he will destroy you. Luckily they are insanely easy to kill.

They also have problems with ammo/heat. If you can heal through their initial salvo and they don't get super lucky with procs their damage drops off a ton.

If you want to counter one play an assassin/shadow or jugg/guardian and pop your +50% defence CD and laugh as you deflect every railshot/HiB. Their hardest hitting attack is hit hard by the defence stat and accuracy debuffs.

people who do not know this get offended by "l2p" comments...

this is clearly someone who has "l2p" and whiners could learn a lot from your wisdom, nice post.

  18. as for cloaking I think it's fine the problem is that if the cloaked player gets dotted it doesnt bring them out of stealth. I believe I read somewhere that BW admitted this was broken and hopefully it will be fixed sooner rather than later.

cant speak for OP's or scoundrels but assassin has force shroud, which is the ability to cleanse your dots/hostile buffs on you and is on a 1 minute cd (this also clears thermal detonators etc, and makes u resistant to force/tech attacks for 3 seconds)

would be silly to waste your vanish CD and not use this beforehand, as otherwise we would be brought out of stealth as quick as we went into it

there is nothing broken about that, its just common sense to cleanse yourself before you vanish

as for ops, no idea if they have a similar ability

edit - as for the OP, play a stealth class first, and then tell us it is not needed. You will see how silly this post really is, vanish is fine. I could give several reasons as to why its fine, but i have done it on previous threads regarding how either "stealth or vanish is OP". Do a search on threads before posting more drivel.

  19. this is a good change

ive seen many a good attacks on side turrets on civil war fail simply because dots were applied while said player took speeder back and forth before being murdered over and over, our team could not cap as 2-4 of us had dots and could not cap, by time said 8 sec dot wears off.. they had already used speeder and back fighting next to turret. Defied all logic

if you have a good team and organisation you should not need to rely on a 8-10 sec dot (on top of an already 8 sec capture timer)..

also it helps towards all those boring 0-0 voidstar matches

how can this not be a positive change?

  20. Trying to defend PvP in tor for the entire thread then point out you are on a PvE server. Good work champ.

Although I am not the posted this was directed at I feel compelled to explain that:

had always been on pvp servers on other games before TOR, the reason i personally went pve this time is because I have learnt pvp servers were 80% griefing and 20% fun balanced battles between equal teams (I loved the 20% part, and i miss those times)

even in wow, i have more vivid memories of times where i was corpse camped, zerged, griefed and had to log out than of those really fun fights i had when x players of opposing factions would "run into each other" and have a good meaningful "toe-to-toe".

Loved pvp, after our guild all got beta invites it was clear as day even if you chose a pvp server that their would be no world pvp anyway, since all the zones are separated, you do not quest near each other and the main design flaws behind it, if they come into "your zone" patch to find you, all the mobs are still agro to you, but not to them... making it an even more uphill battle. Have levelled a few characters now, and the only time i remember even seeing an opposing faction member was on voss.

Do not be so quick to "rule out" one's opinion simply because they did not choose a server with "pvp" in the title :)
