  1. no i have done 3 bags since patch no items + its not mentioned in the patch notes no pvp fixes at all ,

No word from the devs on this . and this subject even though has muliple threads is nnot on the stickys part of what the pvp needs and concerns

    This is a concern

Oh my bad, I thought this pertained to champion bags:

•PvP lockboxes now cost 70 commendations, contain more consumables, and always contain an item.

  2. Hi guys, I'm a level 29 Guardian with full Defense tree specs. So far I had no problems with either tanking while in party or just soloing in PVE, even on Tatooine. My usual rotation - leap>sweep>sundering >storm(now i start pressing riposte constantly)>strike and sundering when available. For more stubborn enemies which just won't die after this rotation, i use either force kick to cancel their channeled attacks or just lift them up with stasis/push which makes them unable to attack me for couple of seconds. It's always a good idea to finish off easier mobs first - less damage is always good is it now? ^^ Oh, and it's essential to choose Kira as your companion since she's your main DPS.

Exactly the same here. Level 29, full dps spec, with kira. I jump in, sweep, sunder, storm. By this time at least 2 things are dead with kira smashing everything. I have had no problems at all. I also shop the GTN and keep all my gear top notch and I use mostly might stuff. I find the extra +end kind of crappy from guardian equipment. This changes if I find any equipment with mitigation though. Shielding and parrying actually increases DPS because of various talents. So I usually use a mix of might and +shield and +defense gear. I also have a lot of orange gear and throw in as up to date armoring and hilts as I can.

  3. I don't see how strike can be outdated. There is no reason not to use it, you really only have two abilities on short cooldown that generate focus. Remember you also have force stasis and it is not channeled later, but it is a long cooldown. Maybe when you can get cyclonic sweeps ( to reduce cooldown on gaining focus in soresu ) you can get enough focus not to use it, but I think we use it all the way to 50.
  4. I suppose the question I should probably be asking then is: does Pulse even make a difference?

Nope, only Pulse, Second Wind or Stagger; the last I don't see as being worth 2 points.

Ah yes, I see your point. I would take a 10% heal over not being interrupted on an ability that is never being interrupted. I use resolute ALL the time, I am always being stunned or knocked down, especially by elites. Even without being stunned, a free 10% heal isn't bad.

  5. I have played Guardian up to 36 now in live and I played Guardian extensively in beta. IMO, there are two options to Guardian PvP: Vigilance DPS or Defense Harassment. Vigi is your basic big hits build. You'll have plenty of focus to use all your big hitting abilities and once you get Overhead Slash and max it out with additional skill points, you will kill people very fast.

Vigi Guards will land big hits on medium/light armor classes and you'll be able to mow through those annoying Sorcs like butter. It's a very fun way to play and it's pretty straight forward, you just tab target and cycle through your big hit abilities. I recommend this for the lone-wolf players or anyone who wants a low to moderate skill cap.

Defense Harassment is a completely different playstyle that not everyone is suited for, but it can be very satisfying if you get into it. You basic job is not to do the most damage, but to set up your group members to excell. You will start with Guard and Taunt, usually guarding a healer but not necessarily. In combat, you will spam Freezing Force (AOE snare effect) to keep enemy players from running away. In this spec, you are a general nuissance. You won't be topping the damage charts, but you'll often win your team the game through scoring the huttball or guarding objectives in Alderaan and Voidstar.

Defense spec has several stun and interrupt effects that you should be using as much as possible. With skill points, Force Stasis becomes an instant cast ability rather than a channeled ability. Force kick on those pesky healers will leave the other team vulnerable to your higher DPS teammates and it will frustrate enemy players when they find their heal locked out for 4 seconds in addition to being interrupted.

Played well, a Defense spec will absolutely own in warzones and combined with a healer, you'll probably never die. But like I said, this spec isn't for everyone. You won't put up the high DPS/kill numbers and you will struggle in 1v1 encounters with pretty much any class. But at later levels (35+) this build really shines.

Regardless of spec, DO NOT ALWAYS LOOK TO FORCE LEAP INTO AN ENEMY GROUP WITHOUT BACKUP. You will get focus fired and you will die. It is very easy for bounty hunters and sorcs to tab target and spam lightning, rockets and whatever else they do. They don't need to be mobile as they have a 30m range to their abilities. Always look to play as a team.

Guardian PVP does not suck, but it's not for the facerollers either. It does take a modicum of skill to be effective.

While I do not disagree with you, a vigilance spec guardian has taunt, aoe taunt, soresu form, guard and the AOE slow. They only thing they are missing is hilt strike and instant stasis. Still have regular stasis. Defense wise, a vigil guardan has unremitting and protector.

Again, I am NOT arguing, as I am currently defense spec at 26. I just don't see the defense spec bringing a whole lot to the table that vigil doesn't. Some of the placement of defensive abilities in vigil makes no sense, and the 31 ability for defense seems lackluster to me ( not that vigil is any better ).

  6. I guess what you don't understand is that you can slice while doing absolutely nothing, or while doing other things, and the money will just pile up with no real action required by you. When I am afk I send out 3 companions to slice, come back, open boxes, repeat every 10m or so while in another window. When I play I send them out and do all the quests solo, or keep 1 companion with me. When I am doing pvp i send them out for money. When I am wandering around anywhere just chilling out, I send them out and make bank. While I level I also see lots of free money lying around in safeboxes that I get.

The thing is that you do not have to worry about selling the stuff. Other professions require that to make money you sell it on the GTN. We have no clue how saturated the market will be with this stuff, or if there is a market at all. Most people who take a crafting skills ( say synthweaving ) will take 2 skills to go along with it ( archeology and uwt ) and will never have to go on the GTN to buy mats. Slicing doesn't have to worry, you can just make pure profit AFK.

Some of the missions can get you credits AND augments, which can be even more money.

  7. from what i've seen so far the reusable are slightly worse than non reusable blues you Re .... So endgame i'm not sure but i believe using one shot item willstill be better off.... I guess the reusable are good for grinding etc..

It looks like they have the same stats to me.

So are all the reusable medic stuff bind on pickup, or do you need biochem to use it? It seems like you can just buy the stuff.

  8. Which do you think will be worth it at 50? You have to look what is at the end. Biochem has unlimited medpacks and can make stims, which I assume will be wanted end game. Can these be sold to other people or can only biochemists use them? Same with the grenades. Can only cybertechs use them? Can they be sold? Are there any other perks to each one I am missing? I see that biochem has BOP implants, but I am not sure if they are any better than what you find.

So far I have leveled synth to 150 and find it near useless. In order to get the good stuff I need to RE so many times it isn't funny. And for what? One piece of gear that I had to RE 25 times to get, that will be replaced soon? I don't think there are any high level BOP synthweave gear.
