  1. Nope. Didn't play it. Is it still running? I thought they closed that down or did it go f2p?

It had an immaculate launch with outstanding graphics, good performance, customizable UI, and innovative features such as the class/talent system. Not to mention the combat was smooth and seamless.

Their world pvp wasn't just confined to one zone like Illum. Their pvp dailies rotated randomly across the uninstanced world.

Their dungeons and raids were complete, unbroken, and dropped appropriate loot.

It's only drawbacks were the complex macro system, which allowed classes to weave 5 abilities into 1 button, removing player skill. Besides this, I don't know why it wasn't more successful. I think it was just bad timing and greedy players. If it were to be released now, in wake of SWTOR's flaws, I believe it would be considered quite refreshing.

  2. This game does not need a damage meter.

What it needs, and this is really the ONLY add-on I support in Star Wars The Old Republic ... is a Midichlorian Counter.

That way players can count the midichlorians of their fellow players, and know how good they are at Star Wars.

This fits the lore. And it fits the suggestion that all the players are asking for a measuring stick. In star wars, we need to be counting midis, not dee-pee-essas.

And really, if you're a Jedi with lazy swimmers and low midichlorian count, it's best everyone knows this up front.

And if you're a sith with limp midichlorians, you don't deserve to keep that slave collar on Vette.

    I support this

  3. Coming from a professional(paid/sponsored) history of MMO/FPS gameplay I can say that this is a huge deal breaker for me and my team.

Not having fluid/responsive/accurate mouse movement is a major turnoff.

I really hope for the sake of this game that they consider this a high priority issue.

  4. What a fascinating work of fiction, either that or your friend is just plain dumb.

    1) Check the quantity before ordering

    2) If an error is made, contest the charges with your bank

    3) If you're poor, or stupid, or both, and you're barely able to support your 4 kids, then dont play video games in the first place

  5. I love people who think that this isn't a crippling technical issue but a matter of changing your approach to the game, ie not button mashing, anticipating more, etc.

When you press a button, your ability fires later than it should, or not at all, and this creates an overall gameplay that is objectively less fluid than other popular MMOs of similar size and aspiration. These are facts. Disputing them means you either:

    A. Do not have extensive experience with other AAA MMOs, namely WOW, which has the most fluid gameplay in the genre

    And/or

    B. Are blindly defending the game because you enjoy it.

TOR is not WOW, it is its own game. The thousands of People who are here posting WANT this game to succeed on its own terms, otherwise why bother posting at all? But TOR will absolutely be relegated to a second class MMO if they can't improve the most basic and fundamental functionality of the game.

I came here to post my opinion but this guy already nailed it. I underlined the most important part.

    10/10 perfect post.
