just to post some benefits to tanking:
1) easier to find groups/ability to pick your own group
2) priority in loot drops(applicable in guild runs)
3) get to feel like god in that you are very difficult to take down
4) the skill required to play a tank often lets you play other roles/classes well( not always the case)
5) you get to feel important

I think a simpler solution would be to turn all the orange gear into a blue or purple w/ fixed states. This would allow for crafters to become a bit more valuable especially if crafted gear was buffed to be ahead of the commendation gear by 10%-20%

Lord Guilt of The Roarjam Legacy!
The name of my D&D minotaur slayer

great job on this guide. It was a great read as well as an informative one.

I second this notion

I feel like a total ****** by fighting using one lightsaber. Also thought force pushing ppl then leaping at them is cool.
Not to mention that fact that i can go to human enemy npcs and say "you have failed me for the last time" as I force choke people

Personally, I love it because it suddenly becomes a platformer. Also when i find a holocron i look at it like a puzzle and that is where the fun begins. Also you should think outside the box sometimes. Thats what a friend and I did for one and we had a blast the entire time we were trying to figure out how to get to the holocron.

Man haters gonna hate
Personally, i never really show a reason he should garnish so much hate

Spacebar Hero is what me and my friends say when we spacebar stuff. On that note, however i rarely spacebar anything even on alts.
-
For me yes, also i love the linearity because i keep running into people i have crossed paths with/ seen at lower lvls. Makes me happy that i can once again get to know/recognize ppl on my server
-
Personally, I would it would awesome if your companion would "be swapped" for a different character you met in the storyline. Personally said companion that you swapped for could just be the same everything just different model/name

sith pureblood for my force users and chiss for my non force-users

There is no viable reason for dual speccing in this game.. Healers and tanks all do respectable DPS.. You can PVP in your PVE specc.. That is actually how Bioware intended it.. So.. There simply is no logical reason for dual speccing of any kind..

Also i appreciated that bioware made every role useful in pvp especially tanks.
Sith Warrior PvP tank = awesome

I understand what you mean. I have found that while trying to level it is best to just try to go for blue recipes and not the purples. although I have found that purple recipe to be as good as a green recipe that is two levels ahead
-
try going to your artifice trainer and under the filter where it says trainable, change it to all.
Then just go to the mods/items and right-click regardless if it is not green.
I had a bug like this happen to me, hopefully this solves it though

I'm just not seeing any of this as an armormech. I'm only L28, but I'm brining in about 20K a day selling blues and oranges that I craft as I level my skills and RE for the right schematics.
There are definitely some pieces that sell better than others, but overall the market is definitely taking shape from what I can see. The only problem as I see it is that there aren't enough people making stuff. I have a hell of a time finding buff stims, color crystals, etc.

Also idk how many ppl realize that buy you can make mods for gear that can't be bought by using commendations.

Thanks alot for this post, defn going to increase my skill as a new pvper. Also i hope they keep the resolve bar and do not listen to the ppl wanting DR

History: I am a developer, i have done a 0 to alpha mmo rpg in 2k1
Your story lines are great but you seem to lack the mmo skill.
sorry to rant but i do love the game and its story. but common we expect more modern features. which is why i say the game lacks mmo and is more single player.
Just so you know Bioware has made single player games and so that is were thier experience lies

Yeah, you're right... they should definitely leave this system in the game. I mean, hey, all the hardcore players are pissed about no companion death, so let's punch everyone who gives a damn about surnames right in the jaw because you're still stewing about a decision that was made over a year ago. Right? Right? That's, you know, totally logical.
Names don't affect anyone but their owner, not withstanding situations where they are offensive. My desire or ability to change my name once or a thousand times should be nobody's business but my own.
I'll also add: you have absolutely no right to know who my alts are. The minute legacy names are forced to be displayed is the minute I and thousands of other players quit the game.
Just so you know that the reason companion deaths were removed was because players would gimp themselves crafting/soloing-wise.
Surnames shared across all your characters doesn't not gimp you gameplay-wise
Also personally, i love that my characters can all share the same name/legacy. I have put alot of thought into what it should be

i DID pick a side. if i got 1000 light points that means i did as much for "good" as jedi anakin whatshisface over there.
what does it matter that i also did 1000 darkside points as well? there's no consistancy in the game for BEING both light and dark. your mentor or whoever you visit doesn't change his dialog. he doesn't scowl at you reproachfully for killing women and children on hoth, so long as whatever choices you make in his presence are good and wholesome.
therefore with zero consistency in the story, what do you care "who rewards you?"
you're saying this as if it BREAKS SOMETHING that isn't currently BROKEN.
So your basically saying that in the movies that anakin should be able to go back to the jedi after earning his "1000 darkside points" go to the jedi and say " Can i get my jedi robes?"(which keep in mind it involved helping to bring about the downfall of the jedi and the republic).
Also the point as to why your mentor doesn't change is dialog is because he doesn't hear/learn about details of what occured
-
Honestly, you shouldn't get bogged down in choosing darkside over light side( vice versa) just to get the max tier. The way the system was made it allows you to choose some dark/light side options and it not effect you in the long run. Its like taking 2 steps forward and one step back, you still step forward by 1 step

One side note: The Elevator Bossi (Bosses) transcend time and space, causing them to appear in everything you know and love.
-
you gain legacy experience with all of your characters toward the same legacy on your account.... How is this discouraging you from playing alts?
The problem is that if we level a chiss bounty hunter and manage to get it to lvl 50, then shortly after its released that through the legacy system you can be a trandoshan. And you want to play that you basically have to remake that alt just to play a different race.
This could be avioded by just releasing races that will be unlockable earlier

But that is the point man. Your epic implants won't make you rich, just like my crafted epic weapons and barrels won't make me rich....because you can PvP and do dailies to get them free for 1/10 of the manpower you put into creating the epic implant. Not to mention the daily and PvP items that can just take a couple of hours to get are one tier higher than what we can craft...so 2 hours for a superior product, or shelling out 40k on the GTN for something inferior-take a guess what the majority of people will do.
While this is a valid point. You will still run into the people that don't want to put in the time foe pvping/ doing dailes and instead go the easier route of buying good items instead
Crafting is Tragic
in Crew Skills
Posted
Crafting was created to be a HUGE money/time sink, so unlikely that this would change.
I would like to disagree in the difficulty of finding nodes, because if you look on your map it will show up there and from there it is a simple matter of going to it.
While i am on the fence about the number nodes spawned at any one time; I would appreciate a little bump to the yield of missions.
But what i would really love to see changed the most those is the stats on crafted items so that it is better than commendation gear.
