  1. First thing I did after buying the Cathar was seeing whether or not NPC's reacted differently to the species (with the Cathar side-quest on Ord Mantell), and was highly disappointed to discover they didn't.
You really expected there would be a difference? Of what sort? Please, consider the technical limitations and necessary steps to implement any change of such dimension. Any new dialogue would have required new voice acting, for example - from each of the 16 actors for the 8 classes for both genders, not to mention the involved NPCs.

But I believe you could easily skip that mission anyways, if it bothers you. I recall it was one of the optional ones?

For what it's worth, there are many, many more instances where a character's species comes across as somewhat "inappropriate" by way of available dialogue or how a scene plays out. I cringe everytime I see my Twi'lek Smuggler interact with a Twi'lek NPC, both talking in two different languages.

But I'm sure it is even "funnier" with Legacy-unlocked species. Pureblood Jedi anyone? Yeah, I'm sure that's a common sight that wouldn't evoke any unusual reactions at all.

I remember BioWare mentioning a feature for role-players which allowed characters to accrue scars along their leveling path, but didn't find its implementation anywhere.
You misinterpreted. That was just an example of what players could (manually) do with the new post-gen character customization feature, by going to that kiosk after that fight where you think that your char should walk away with a scar.

Not sure if there is anyone actually considering to use the kiosk in this particular way, but ... *shrug*

I was never a fan of what armor dyes and full customization would bring to the table: I thought it compromised the Star Wars aesthetic in favor of a much more garish environment, and from what I've seen of it so far (green, purple and blue hairdos, shocking-pink Jedi robes, etc...) I don't think I'm mistaken.
The aesthetic was already compromised by spikey high level armor, or even by making this game look way more like the movies than KotOR, at least to some people's opinion.

Ultimately, any sort of character customization will be abused by those players whose particular state of mind considers such things to be "funny" - but that doesn't mean that more sensible users should suffer from this by being subjected to a total ban of these features. I know a few items I'd like to recolor to make them fit better than "unify to chest" can achieve ... and I believe I will manage to ignore any pink-robed Jedi just like I manage to blank out avatars like the one that was wearing slavegirl panties to the Imperial officer's jacket, or Sith Lords in wedding costumes.

We might as well argue that BioWare should ban people from jumping or running just because it destroys the atmosphere on certain locations. Some things we just have to learn to live with, and "mental ignore" is a great way to deal with anything that doesn't fit into your interpretation of the setting.

That said, the armor dye system looks like a horrible way to handle item customization, and I have no idea why they did not simply implement a kiosk-based system here, too. Then again, this one was obvious from the moment it was announced. I'll still try to make the most out of it, and it's certainly better than nothing.

  2. It's the forums. Most game forums are populated primarily by glass half-empty folks. Meanwhile people who enjoy the game just play. Forum goers are always a minority in games which is why developers always take what's said here with a cup or more of salt.
This so much - at least it's true for myself.

Of course, I'm sure that everyone has something we'd wish to see changed, and I too have posted on the issues of SGR or medium armor designs in the past as well, not to mention my criticism regarding the game's overall artistic design which seems to be much closer to the movies rather than KotOR. All in all, however, I'm having fun. No, actually I'm having a blast. These days, I'm thoroughly enjoying the Smuggler storyline and its hilarious writing, as well as having come into contact with a couple new roleplayers. And then there's my Sith leveling group that's about to finish Makeb shortly.

I guess my "secret" is that I'm not playing all that much, and even made a long break until Makeb was released. Sometimes it's better to lean back and do something different in order to prevent overexposure - the least you want is something you love becoming stale due to too much of a focus on it.

I think part of the problem is that there seem to be so many people who take things way too serious these days, turning the consumption of a game into an important part of their life. This comes with a huge sense of entitlement and seems to result in extreme amounts of disappointment or even "rage", followed up by heated debates with people who have a different perception or opinion. It's almost as if the gaming community has become hugely polarized over the last couple years ... but in a way, sadly this is only reflecting the real world, isn't it?

  3. Further testing shows in fact it is "sex." Which puts players in the odd position of being able to say "****" but not "homosexual." Definitely an oversight in implementation there.
Well, it's difficult to ban any and all bad words; there will always be more - though I'm sure customer support could be open to suggestions regarding further must-haves.

But hey, at least it means it's not the step back you suspected. :)

  4. Well! These are certainly good news. To me, too, this is not exactly what I've been hoping for (at best being "flirts" rather than "romances"), but certainly more than I dared to expect by now ... and more importantly, it entrenches the developers' willingness to support SGR in this game, basically pushing open a door that will be hard to close, no matter how much the haters and bigots rail against it. Given enough time, people will adapt as they always do, so in a way it even promotes acceptance in real-life society, no matter by how small a part.

My Sith Duelist will continue to hold out for Jaesa, but at least I feel a little more optimistic now.

So ... thanks for the update, and Happy New Year everyone!

On a disappointing note, I just found out that the profanity filter in ingame chat (which I turned off on day one) filters "bisexual." Two steps forward, one step back with my esteem for these guys on this front.
You sure it's not just "sexual", or even just "sex"?

From what I read in the past, wordfilter complaints in online games are often directed against some weird word where the players don't understand what could be wrong with it - when in fact it was just a part of the word that triggered the alarm.

  5. Unfortunately, it's somewhat obvious that this was a blatant grab at "familiarity". The majority of people know this as the symbol the Galactic Empire in the movies, so this is what the Sith Empire in TOR got. Even though it already had a different symbol in KotOR 1 and 2. This weird "era mix" can be found throughout the game, from uniforms to weapons and armor, which makes TOR appear way closer to the movies than to KotOR.

Business knows this as brand recognition value. Matter of preferences, I suppose. For canon geeks, it is somewhat difficult to justify the Galactic Republic now being bound to adopt what looks disturbingly close to the Sith Empire symbol, way before Palpatine even becomes Chancellor. :p

  6. They are all very well done. I've few complaints, anyway. It just depends on what you're looking for in a story, I suppose.
+1 to this. Props to the writers; I think all the class stories are quite thrilling. It's really a question of what mood you're in. I'm playing all classes save for the Inquisitor and the Counselor (gameplay reasons), and sometimes I'm in the mood for this class, sometimes for that. Having multiple characters thus guarantees I always have access to "just what I need". :)

The dialogue selections even make replaying the same area worthwhile. There was one situation on Alderaan that I have resolved with three different Imperial characters in three different ways, simply because they all had a different personality / approach. Awesome.

It was the attempted invasion of that one noble's palace by a rival.

Bounty Hunter: Actually resolved the situation through diplomacy and allowed the noble to retreat. I blame the companion Mako for acting like an ersatz conscience.

Sith Warrior: With a twisted sense of honor, this character agreed to duel the rival noble in order to prove her superiority as a warrior.

Imperial Agent: Efficiency in service to the state. This character detonated the charges, killing all invaders in the explosion without any actual combat.

  7. Multiple character attitudes and with them entirely new dialogue trees already exist in the game; the most prominent example springing to mind being Dark Side / Light Side Jaesa. It could very well be necessary to reset people's "progress" with their companions (the cutscenes, not the points) in order to allow them to activate these new alternate paths, but other than that I don't see how it would be much different.

BioWare has also shown that this can be implemented retroactively in various DLC for its Dragon Age and Mass Effect IPs, where a download would change the dialogue of some character in the main game. Different games, yes, but it goes to show that the studio has experience with such subsequent alterations.

The reset itself would be more tricky. The developers likely would not wish to reset every single player's progress with each and every single companion, so it would require a case-by-case solution. Ideally, it could be some sort of mail-distributed ingame item that triggers it, or perhaps it could be an NPC like the one that resets people's skill points? Hell, I'd even buy it off the Cartel Store. :p

With existing characters, most of that work is done. They just need to add different romance dialog to work with the other gender (I'm sure some dialog can be re-used from the OGRA).
Also important: by now a lot of us have gotten very used to the companions we have. I could be wrong, but as far as I'm concerned, for now I do not think any new NPC could compete with "Psycho Jaesa" who I've come to think of as the ideal partner for my Sith, regardless of how much my own creativity needs to fill in the blanks left by the game's lack of support.

And I think we all have our favorites already, right? How sad would it be if, some day far in the future, we actually do get new companions romanceable by the same gender, only to discover that they cannot compete with someone already in our crew? New companions will actually have to be entirely new, after all, thus very likely not sharing certain qualities (class, voice, personality, ...) we grew to like in the existing ones.

  8. Now, that's just my opinion, but looking at the class background, how you became a Sith and what effect the Dark Side has on your character, LS Sith don't make a lot of sense to me. There were occasions I've taken LS choices over DS ones, but I'm still DS IV by now (L48) simply because most of the time these options were the most fitting ones for a character that grew up in an environment fostering a lust for power and a lack of morality. For my own character, I had her retain some sort of "duelist's honor", however, in that she respected the strength of others and eshewed cheating in favor of a straight-up face to face confrontation - in spite of the end result, I still got some LS points for this.

In the end, it all depends on your personal interpretation of what makes a Sith character, and how close you want to stick to the "traditional" effects and consequences of wielding the Dark Side. This extends to your choice of companions as well. Vette is basically a more legal and slightly less awesome version of Mission, so she invariably gets on your nerves if you stick to the Dark Side and refuse freeing her, but would match well to a Light Side character. I'd love having her available for my Jedi. Dark Side Jaesa on the other hand is a psychopath that, at least for my character, made the perfect "partner in crime".

  9. I got them from the GTN. If you're super lucky, you might get them from a purple lockbox on Nar Shadaa from the commendations vendor. I just recently found them again on the GTN for 3k credits, and they were the purple modular ones, so they went to my marauder. Being a cybertech on my marauder has been super helpful, as I've kept up to date with purple armor plates/mods on my gear through the levels(even ahead, when I have the appropriate armor/mods waiting for me at the appropriate level increments).
Oh well, the GTN again. :p

Hmm, I wonder, which level would you have to be to farm Nar Shaddaa commendations via the group finder? 20?

If you can't come across the Prototype Fervent Battle Boots, there's also the Prototype Strategist Boots(Level 12 purple modular) that has the same armor plated footwear look.

Aye, I am currently farming those. Here's hoping for some luck! Already pulled half a dozen orange/purple moddable items out of Valen Korik, but not the boots.
  10. Those were my exact words when I saw that customization option.
Pretty obvious that Talon was the reason they put that skin in there in the first place. ;)

Myself, I kept her blue, though. Ever since Mission I'm convinced that blue Twi'lek = best Twi'lek. Darth Talon being the obvious exception. :D

@OP: My advice would be to ask on your server if any Sith Warrior has a green Vette, then meet with him/her on Nar Shaddaa, comparing Vette's skin to your Mirialan Jedi, so that you have a rough estimate on how much lighter or darker it should be. Choosing the skin with a windowed client whilst having a screenshot of green Vette next to it could help, too.

  11. Oh, I think you got it all wrong, you dont need to be an egoistic megalomaniac with a godcomplex to be sith.
You don't - I wasn't claiming as such, and my character isn't either. I'm sorry if I failed to adequately express my thoughts. In the end, however, you cannot deny that a quest for personal power is intrinsically egoistic. And evil deeds as well as usage of the Dark Side of the Force do corrupt the user. How could you simply brush something like being the key element in various of the Empire's objectively tyrannical and sadistical schemes away as if it wouldn't have any effect whatsoever on the character's personality - and continue to serve this Empire in whose methods you do not believe? Now you may argue with your quest for personal power again, tapping the Empire's resources for your own use, but in doing so you sacrifice the lives of the countless intelligent lifeforms that had to suffer for your service, in exchange for your personal advance. And this isn't supposed to be Dark Side? Heh. ;)

a sith can and will aide weaker/stronger people in need, if that can further their own goals. So a "lightsided" sith isnt impossible, just improbable :)
Yet when you're only aiding someone for your own benefit, that isn't Light Side at all. The motivation is what counts. Otherwise you might as well go and say that all Jedi are actually Dark Side because killing is bad.

But no, something like a "Light Side Sith" isn't exactly impossible - we have seen users of the Dark Side redeem themselves before, so obviously there must be a stage where their belief is in question, shortly before they renounce their current existence. Just like there can be Dark Side Jedi shortly before they leave the Order or are dealt with. What I do not believe is the "ease" with which certain story options want to suggest that change, as well as that something like a Light Side Sith or a Dark Side Jedi is a "permanent" state of affairs rather than a comparatively short station in the process of Falling or Redeeming oneself.

  12. My human Sith Duelist (Marauder) goes by the name of Nemera Rhun.

Nemera is an alteration of the Hebrew name "Nemmera", which means lioness. The friends I play with have suggested looking at Hebrew, Egyptian, etc names for they may sound suitably "sithlike" - and I have to agree, names such as "Anmun" or "Nephtis" (which they had chosen for their Pureblood Sorcerers) do have some sort of dark appeal.

The best thing is, this works both as a first name as well as a Darth title. The fact that Darth names in this era really were just first names most of the time aside, "Nemera" also sounds somewhat close to "nemesis", which I consider a nice bonus.

Rhun is just a rather random last name, which we spent much less thought on than the first name. Obviously it shares a phonetic connection with "rune", or even "ruin" if you will. ;)

This site has greatly helped me find good names in the past. I do recommend it:

    http://www.behindthename.com/

  13. Thank you very much for the help! :)
    No prob!

    Valias here, btw. :p

That's my operative walking around with it on. It has a trail in the front, that moves to the side when you're walking or running. And yes, she's wearing the Prototype(purple modular) Fervent Battle Boots, Force Stoic(I have the Force Stoic outfit for all my companions and myself on 2 different level 50 characters) and Marauder leggings. Her rifle is the level 11 modular one that looks like a sawn off 3 barreled shotgun.

Whoah, not bad. Where did you get the boots from - GTN as well? Torhead sadly doesn't list a drop point.

    my marauder

Very nice. I approve of the hairstyle. :D

That reminds me. The boots that Thana Vesh was wearing were cool, too, but those seem to be a no-go for us as well. I'm starting to think this is intended to make Sith Marauders feel more Rage. :p

  14. Well also remember the context of the stories the missions tell. From the Inquisitor being a slave, to the temperance you're told to have in dealing with everyone by level 3 on a Warrior, there are plant-ins on what could be the start of your journey away from the darkside.
Oh, certainly - but keeping the Academy's background in mind, how would any student even pick those options? The game just throws them at you because it is overly lenient in granting people the freedom of choice, in the "worst" cases allowing you to break character - and rarely if ever dishing out the appropriate consequences. I'm not sure what people think on how a Sith Academy is run, but I always thought taunting one's Master for the lulz would incur a harsher punishment than a stern warning.

In the Jedi Knight storyline, you eventually encounter

    Lord Praven

who IMO, provides an excellent example of a light-sided SIth. Despite his many positive traits, no one would mistake him for a Jedi.

    The guy who eventually

joins the Jedi Order as a Light-Side Jedi Knight

? I'm not sure he's such a good example for what you mean. :p

Usage of the Dark Side of the Force has a corrupting influence on people's minds and makes them sadistic. This effect seems to be forgotten or ignored by a lot of people. The Dark Side and the Light Side are not just fancy names for useful powers. And egoism as originating in the search for personal power further enhances this further by luring people to take the easiest and quickest path - which is, again, the Dark Side, as well as the unbridled exploitation of others.

The only way to stay clear of the Dark Side is to NOT be an egoist, which is imho incompatible with the very being of what it means to be a Sith, and to avoid the taint of "evil work", which is incompatible with the orders you receive from your superiors. It's why all those Sith who actually do have an epiphany and start walking on the path of the Light Side end up leaving the Order. It quite simply doesn't stand for their newfound belief, or even worse starts to disgust them. It'd be like an atheist being a supportive member of the Christian church, or a pacifist voluntarily serving in the military.

Those are my two credits, anyways - I don't think the discussion has a chance of cultivating much consensus, as our interpretations seem to operate on different core tenets.

  15. Here's two that spring to mind:

They do come with a sort of skirt'ish attachment, however. I don't think there is anything else in the game other than this design. It also exists in other quality levels and with other names, it shouldn't be hard to find these or one of their green/blue variants in the Exchange if you just look for medium armor chests.

[edit] Ribbed Chestguard and Guardsman's Chestguard actually do come without the "skirt" thing.

  16. This stems from the persistent misconception, that the difference between Sith and Jedi is the one between good and evil.
Can't agree there. From all I've read, the misconception is that you can cherrypick your powers and still be a good guy.

It's certainly true that you don't have to be a Jedi to do good stuff, or that you don't have to be a Sith to be evil - but at the same time there is no such thing as an evil Jedi or a good Sith. The Force does have an effect on your morality, and people are completely forgetting about corruption when they build their character on absolute liberty from these concepts. The truth is that the more you draw upon the Dark Side of the Force, the more it twists your mind, slowly, creeping, like a virus running through your body, making your blood boil. It is the lure of power in its most raw form. The saying "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" holds true, as we see countless times throughout the movies, novels, comics, games. Even the P&P RPG - as canon as this game - had a system for this, giving you DSP when you did stuff like choking people.

What you are referring to, the balance between good and evil, between the Light and the Dark Side, is known to be a "Grey Jedi", like the Voss Mystics or Emperor Roan Fel's Imperial Knights. The Witches of Dathomir might be counted amongst them, too, I suppose, with exception of the Nightsisters of course.

Even more confusing, however, I find the thought of someone actually being able to stay "good" when growing up in the Korriban Academy. Its curriculum consists of indoctrination, backstabbing and torture. How anyone would be able to grow into a good-hearted being there is a puzzle to me.

There isn't. It talks about passion and freedom. Can't see anything evil about that.) Its a shame that the choices in the game do not reflect that for a Sith.
Heh, from my perspective it's a shame that the game does not provide accurate consequences for certain choices, like opposing one's mentor in the Academy or making one's character guess his or her affiliation when he/she constantly goes against what his or her nation is standing for - and ultimately attempting to achieve.

For example, as a Jedi you can get dark side points by expressing your love to a certain female (JK players know of this), but for a Sith you get no dark side points for basically doing the same.
Well, I presume this is because as a Sith the game assumes you are already "attuned" to the Dark Side. The way the game works is that it does not evaluate the effect of an action based on one's LS/DS score but one's faction. Basically, a Sith kicking a pup is evil (sadistic), but the Sith doing so wouldn't feel bad about it, because he already is corrupted.

In a way it's too bad that the game doesn't use more "context" when determining how many LS/DS points you get, but at the same time this would only make sense if people would actually be able/forced to "switch" class and allegiance, depending on how their choices reflect their morality - meaning if their personality is actually in line with the class/faction they are a part of. The game just isn't that complex, though.

Many of the players will, of course, prefer things like they are now, because this allows them to play good Sith as part of an evil regime, or an evil Jedi as part of a good-hearted order. Consequences simply are a matter of personal preference; some like them, some just prefer to have more freedom.

  17. A "barber shop" will come, eventually - I think you could switch body types then, too.

My Marauder's body type 1 butt looks good in leather pants. Fun thing is I'm getting most of the butt shots in the cinematics, too - it's become a running gag in my party. :p

  18. i will never understand why somebody would want to romance an hypocrit psico like dark jaesa, vette is so much better.
We're Sith - the real question should be how are you still alive if you allowed yourself to get married to an alien loudmouth slave who thinks your ship is some kind of luxury yacht. :p

I wish it was possible to actually break her, but apparently she's become immune to electric shocks. I think Jaesa still enjoys pushing the trigger regardless, tho.

wtb same-sex romance :( I've got both to 10000 affection.
    So true.

Sadly not going to happen, it seems. From what the-powers-that-be hinted at, it's going to be all new companions for the same-gender romances. And I have a feeling that whatever we get will not be as cool as Jaesa. :|

  19. Maybe we should have just had 4 starting classes and let you decide your path from the beginning... Or maybe just once your each a certain point you actually change class to Jedi.
Factionless play? Or rather, a neutral faction for beginners and those who can't decide... Would have been cool - like in SWG. I don't appreciate the artificial segregation of the community anyways. It's bad for RP. Taking a Republic prisoner to your ship? Not possible!

I guess it doesn't work like that anymore in contemporary MMOs. Today it's all about shoehorning people into two opposing groups. Plus, I suppose the stories (in addition to requiring even more voice-acting) wouldn't have worked anymore, seeing that they require the player to have been on an advanced path in his faction already. Then again, going from Recruit to Apprentice in 10 levels is no worse than going from Apprentice to Lord in another 10.

Meh, spilt blue milk. At least the PvP is fun. :p

  20. Juggernauts have by far the better looking armour, too, at least beyond level 20. Or rather, they actually have something that looks like armour. *grumbles*

But yesh, it's incredible how tough Juggernauts are. Judging from the one in my group, they're excellent tanks and hard to stop, in PvE as well as in PvP. I am tempted to say that Marauders are more "fun" to play as their combat style is more about mobility and elegance rather than the "brute force head through wall" approach of the Juggernauts - but the fun can stop quickly when an enemy is suddenly focusing their attacks on you.

It works for me because in PvE I have a good Juggernaut in my team who knows how to tank, and two Sorcerers in the rear providing heals, but it may be more tough when you're on your own. Fortunately, your very first Companion is a healer, though. On the other hand, by taking Vette with you you'd miss out on Jaesa, and Jaesa is a bad*ss.

In PvP, I was very frustrated at first because the enemy team knows they can kill you in 5 seconds. Once I learned to live with this and changed my role from frontal attacker to harasser/skirmisher, though, in essence adopting a less direct approach, it started to be more enjoyable. I still die a lot, but in the midst of my team and the confusion of a big battle I can be a pain in the rear.

In the end, I chose the Marauder because (a) my KotOR character had two lightsabers and (b) I'm a fan of the more agile fighting style employed by SW characters such as Ahsoka Tano. The Marauder delivers in that she allows me to jump a lot from enemy to enemy. I have two abilities that let me leap through the air from one foe to another, it just looks awesome compared to our Jugg who is like *walk walk walk*. The only thing I'm jealous of is the Jugg's Force Push. :p

  21. That would mean that the light SWs are in actuality JKs and vice versa.
Well, they kinda are, aren't they. :p

OP has a good suggestion, though I think it might take too many resources to design a whole new mechanism around this. Lots of more important stuff on the line first. The game isn't exactly big on consequences regarding LS/DS anyways. :I

  22. You've actually got two choices I believe, if you're looking for a modular version of that. One, is the Prototype Strategist Boots(my marauder is wearing them currently), and the other choice is finding Prototype Fervent Rage Boots(my operative is wearing them).
I've begun farming for the Strategist Boots, but (as could be expected), no luck so far. I did get a nice orange belt, but it's heavy armor.

As for your alternative, I suppose you mean the Fervent Battle boots? I could find no other on torhead, but judging from the icon they look like they'd be the correct design. Do you still remember where you found them, perchance?

Other than that, you're pretty much stuck wearing "old man socks."
    So true...

You know, I just sent some cool medium armour boots (actual armour, with plates and stuff!) over from Republic side, but upon trying to pick them up they switched looks into "old man socks" because of Empire. The game really is trolling me. :p

As for the gloves, you can go with the Gilded Xonolite gloves, or the Battle Instructor Gloves to match the set.
The Battle Instructor Gloves look nice. I'll try hunting them down, I think. Thanks for the hint!
  23. It's no secret that Marauders got the shaft in terms of looks. I think someone who played in beta said that someone ****ed it up at launch and SWITCHED all our gear. Why they just LEFT it is beyond me though.
    Really? Damn.

I'm at a loss for why someone thought that skirts and cloth boots make for good medium armor. I can certainly see Sith Assassins running around in that kind of gear, but really? Why are Juggernauts the only ones supposed to wear anything that actually looks somewhat protective?

If the Jugg legacy boots are what you're after, you can try farming Valen Korik in the Reliquary in the Dark Temple for his artifact Strategist Boots, but good luck. I've been trying for them for three months now and nothing. They ARE moddable, just search for em on torhead. I've just never seen them drop though I did once know a guy who had em.
This is an amazing hint. Even given the low chance of success, this is the closest I've come to a solution in weeks. Thank you!

As for the gloves, idk why your link won't open for me but you might try going to Voss and getting the Ancient Ardent Blade's gloves off the Comm vendor. They're what I use and they sync to just about any chest you have pretty well.
Hmm, I'll take a look at them. :)
  24. Salutations all!

My Sith-Marauder (L47) is currently searching for good-looking boots/gloves. My problem is that I'm quite concerned about my character's appearance, and the armor options available to me now ... well, for some strange reason they either do not look like actual armor at all (the boots in particular all look like Light Armor), or they feature some crazy extensions and tubes and cables that do not quite fit my image of Star Wars, or at least not the image I have of my character.

To give you an idea of what I'm looking for: This is my character's current appearance. With exception of the boots, gloves and belt, all the stuff is orange and thus customizable. The boots and gloves, however, are level ~20ish blue quality items. Needless to say, I am starting to feel somewhat undergeared. My group has been able to tackle any and all challenges so far, but I'd really like to finally upgrade my boots and gloves so that I may pull some more weight than I do now.

My question to you: Is anyone here able to direct me towards L40+ boots and gloves that fit my current choice of clothes pictured above? They should look somewhat armored, not feature any silly add-ons, and preferrably be long (gloves extending to the elbows, boots to or over the knees). Names of the item would be appreciated, as would the location and means of acquisition. Pictures would be amazing!

Ironically, the exact same boots and gloves design I am wearing now is actually available as an orange item - just that it's Heavy armor. Looking at the pictures of the Legacy armor sets almost felt as if the devs were trolling me. :p

Either way, any help would be appreciated. Hail to the Empire!
