As far as I recall, the Appearance Designer Kiosk charges you for any option you pick that you don't already own at the the full cost of the option. A species change should cost more as you would be paying for both the change and the unlock rather than just the unlock.

the realm of arcades. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure arcades don't need gambling licences. However, if I let you buy anything physical --stuffed animals, mufflers, crates of neodymium-- then I've stepped into...

Semantics
Yes, and as I said i understood what you meant, mainly because what you actually said was completely absurd. If you're going to attack some ones reading comprehension, you should at least make sure you are actually saying what you think you're saying.
-
Thanks for the lesson which I already knew but, again, you need help with your reading comprehension. Some things in sentences - especially when being expressed in a casual forum, are inferred. Must I type "You know you are trying to be milked [by Bioware] when... for you to understand?
While I understand what you meant to say, that sentence doesn't mean what you seem to think it does. If you are trying to be milked that means you are the one making the attempt, not Bioware. You basically said "You know you're trying to get them to milk you when..." when you meant "You know they're trying to milk you when..."

I seem to recall a thread where the devs were asking for input as to what kind of new armor sets we'd like to see in the game. After combing the forums and using the search engine, I've not come across it again... anyone have a link?
Fade to Black...
I believe this is the thread you want.

Lol, I bought the 6 month subscription, so I plan on playing for quite a while... I'm not really that social in game so showing off wouldn't be high on my list... can the speeder be shared on all my characters as long as they meet the requirements?
All of your characters get a copy of each item.

I've been playing for a week or so and love the F2P so today I went ahead and subscribed, but I have a couple of questions.
First off, is the digital upgrade pack worth it? I understand it's only $5, but besides the mount, which can't be used until lvl 25, are any of the other items good for anything?
Just as a note, the STAP is adaptive, making it usable all the way to 50

Game can't go BTP now. The download is free. We can't go back.
Since it's your account that determines whether or not you can play, the download being free means nothing. In fact, many MMOs let you download the software without buying anything.

The war may not have been the Emperor's ultimate goal but, if I remember right, he needs death on a large scale to fuel his ritual. He doesn't care who wins, the war is simply a fuel source.

Just tried KoTOR 2 on windows 8 and had no problem running a new character or a saved one. I am using the Restored Content Mod so I don't know how that effects it.

Finally getting around to posting this.
Has anyone else been unable to see helmets on their Miraluka? Did they bork something up when they fixed the bald head issue or was this an intended change? I tried a couple of different helmets but none of them actually appear. For the record I tried unequiping and re-equipping with various things aswell checking and unchecking "Hide Headslot" in different combinations. Karaggas Helm finally dropped a couple weeks ago and I got to enjoy it for all of about 1 day before the patch that did this hit.
Full helmets seem to work for my Miraluka but anything that shows part of her face wont show up at all.

Someone did do the same with lightsabres. It was a few months ago, so I don't remember who it was who did it, but I do know it was one of the bigger fan sites. I'll try to see if I can either remember who it was or find the site for you.
In the meantime, nice job, OP! This is fantastic. My Shadow could use a cool-looking lightsabre, and now I can pick which one to give her.
Don't know if it's the one you are thinking of but This one has the sabers, just not matched to the icons.

If it's going to be character specific (which seems silly to me, given the whole premise of the Legacy system) it should atleast be reasonably priced (as opposed to all the other legacy unlocks). Meaning, you should be able to buy it reasonably at the income of a low to mid level toon. Maybe around the price of inventory or speeder unlocks. 'Round 40k creds. I'd be fine with that.
Looking at the Coming Soon video,at around 1:27, you can see the price of a few of the items as they mouse over them. The first level in War zone +XP is 20K, the second is 30K and the final level in Flash Point +XP is 100K, so not too far off from speeder and inventory prices.

But also, the fact that the "Spice is a Drug" fact has never been retconned, and pretty much 90% of Star Wars fans already had that in their minds before it was expanded upon in the ExU, it makes the most sense. Han ran Spice for Jabba, and ended up having to dump his cargo before an Imperial Star Destroyer boarded him.
Well yes, it makes more sense as a drug and I wouldn't have that changed, was just saying that, as I understand it, spice wasn't meant to be drugs.
-
Well, considering Contraband means smuggled goods...
Didn't realize it was that literal, thanks for the info.
-
Spice was contraband. It had not been established what it was. It was just called Spice and it was illegal to transport. It is one natural conclusion to draw that it is a narcotic.
Doesn't have to be contraband, he could have just been smuggling it past Imperial check points to avoid tariffs or trade embargoes, or to circumvent some companies exclusive trading rights.I'm not saying it was a bad conclusion, just that it wasn't necessarily the intended one.
-
Han Solo was a spice smuggler, actually. That was established in the movies. He was a drug runner for Jabba.
Except the OT never established spice as anything beyond something Han smuggled for Jabba. Many assumed it must therefore be a drug but given that Star Wars was more of a fantasy in space then a true SiFi, it's quite possible that it was meant to just be spice, a commodity for which nations used to go to war over. Though I don't have anything to link to, I do recall reading an article in which Lucas claimed that was the intended reference.
-
Technically, Spice only ripped the name. Star Wars Spice is a drug.
As I understand, originally for Star Wars, spice was a reference to the spice trades of old and were actual food spices rather then drugs. The EU later changed it to a drug.

I just checked the Q&A's going back be4 Legacy was even made and found nothing....anyone know if anything is planed? a Dev response would ROCK...
I think the pertinent Q&A is:
Misiolak: The Datacrons are a nice addition to the game, but getting them for all the characters is simply not fun. Do you plan to include Datacron sharing in the Legacy unlocks?Daniel: Long term we plan to move many of the game’s reward systems to be Legacy-wide and Datacrons are definitely on the list for consideration.
If they're willing to consider Datacrons I don't see why they wouldn't also consider the rest of the codex.

What is this supposed to mean?
C-3PO was played by Anthony Daniels and Legolas was played by Orlando Bloom, not sure what you were trying to say there.
