  1. For pve all healer are relatively the same.

    Wrong.

Commando / merchenary healer is probably the best atm because of burst healing for PvE :) Its the only healer class who is able to deal hige damage without wasting resources.

This is correct. Our Ops group has fully capable and geared Sages and Scoundel heals that lesser geared Commandos are wiping the floor with. All three can certainly heal the OPS group, but Commando is the best ATM.

IMO - Commando > Sage > Scoundrel for HPS and effective heals.

  2. Even the Koth choice won't matter in the end.

Tell me, does anyone actually believe that if the only way to defeat the eternal fleet is with the gravestone that somehow you won't magically get it back just in the nick of time? I am sure there won't be an entire chapter devoted to stealing back the gravestone but there only needs to be like one separate cutscene to explain it.

Something along the lines of you are about to order an attack on the eternal fleet and run a simultaneous ground mission. If you have the gravestone you send it to lead the attack. If you don't.... you are on the ground mission and running along and suddenly there is Koth shooting off his big moutjh. You knock him out and take back the gravestone and send it to the battle. One additional cutscene - 50 seconds of story difference.

  3. Don't spam.

I agree that if someone is spamming emotes and the chat channel is scrolling by so fast that no one can converse then that is wrong. But if someone emotes once every 20-30 seconds for 10 times in a row and the channel is just filled up with them because no one is chatting, that is a different story.

My point about the rakghouls was focused toward having one annoyance for some players not being able to be stopped yet another one can be stopped rather easily. The OP does not mention actually spamming emotes but as it has been stated there is most likely something else going on than what was posted.

  4. So if someone is having fun standing on fleet and "spamming" built in game features (and don't forget cartel market purchased) emotes, the players have the ability to shut them up for 24 hours.

However if someone is infected from that stupid Rakghoul Resurgence event and standing on fleet exploding and infecting people the players need to put up with that and have no way to stop it.

What is wrong with this picture.

  5. And I actually really enjoyed the part where Senya's like "Did you jam their comms, Vortena?" and there's total silence, and she's like "Koth?" and he just says "You know I did," but he doesn't say it like snarkily or angrily, he says it like he's just so weary of the constant bickering between the two of them and he wants it to end. It's nice development, albeit subtle, where he's quite obviously turned a corner and is annoyed that Senya still doesn't trust him, rather than not trusting Senya himself.

I do agree with this one. Probably the only line of dialog that I actually liked from Koth. And it does add to story development.

  6. Not really a spoiler here since the Koth decision was several chapters ago. But you've been warned.

I've played Chapter 15 now twice on a toon who Koth is still with, and once with a toon who Koth has left.

I must say that the story is so much more enjoyable with Tora! Koth is a sadsack fun sucker whereas Tora is energetic and fun to interact with.

    Which one did you prefer?

  7. They could have just made the "changes" during the story itself and once back into the real game left everything well alone the way that it was. It would not have affected the story in any way.

After all there wouldn't be a companion return terminal if BW was concerned with having those companions back early was an issue. Having Scorpio in your list even though she has "defected" wouldn't affect anything any more then that.

  8. So, you have a personal issue that precludes you from being any fun at parties... so rather than continue to go to these parties, you sober up and leave, all because the party is too similar to the last several you attended?

    Ok.

Bad analogy. It's more like this:

You go out every friday and saturday nights for five straight years to your favorite night club. All of the owners and employees know you by name and even run you a tab. One day the owners unveil a new promotion that gives new patrons a buy one get one free special on drinks. Additionally, after 6 months of frequenting their establishment those new patrons will receive a new hat, t-shirt, and gym bag with the night clubs logo on them.

Unfortunately, you are not eligible because you are not a new patron. And you refuse to have plastic surgery or wear a disguise just to get the free stuff you deserve.

  9. You forgot that she also command eternal fleet. Arcann and Vaylin powers are useless in space battles, they cant beat hundreds of ships which are now between them and throne. So they cant get close enough to throne to use their powers.

Even if they could, Scorpio on throne looks more like hologram then then robot, so even if they kill her chassis it will not destroy her, she will just go beck to grid and create new one somewhere else.

ok that makes a little more sense... But still I cannot believe that Arcaan and Vaylin won't be able to do something about it. Maybe there's a backdoor LOL or a circuit breaker box. :)

  10. The only thing I have trouble believing is that Scorpio will spend a lot of time on that throne. Are we supposed to believe that Arcann and Vaylin, two of the most powerful force users in the galaxy, are just going to sit back and let Scorpio stay plugged into that chair?

    Chapter XVI - beginning cutscene

The door to the Eternal Throne room is thrust open, and Arcann and Vaylin walk toward Scorpio dispatching every Skytrooper that comes toward them like a child who kicks his toy soldiers away. Vaylin raises her hand and force pulls Scorpio from the throne, plunging the droid onto Arcann's lightsaber.

    Goodbye, Scorpio.

  11. All Bioware needs to do is retroactively award the new title and achievements to any vet who has already completed the criteria. As for new gear/companions those could be for newcomers just as vets get their own rewards.

That in itself would have no adverse effect on getting newcomers to participate in the event. Instead it comes across as a slap in the face to those who have supported Bioware over the years.

Sadly, this is not a new type of business practice. Cable and TV providers, phone providers, etc etc ALL do the exact same thing. They offer the newest and latest equipment and plans for new customers and make their loyal customers ineligible. Want that new DVR system or programming your provider is offering the newcomers? Sorry, your only recourse is to switch providers and become the newcomer yourself.

Only problem is there isn't another Star Wars MMO to switch to at the moment

  12. Sinnaman was my main's name in Star Wars Galaxies. Sinnaman Shoogar. When I started playing SWTOR I was going to eventually make a toon named Sinnaman, but when they introduced the legacy's I realized that Sinnaman would not be born for another 3000 years so I did not use the name in game. All of my SWTOR toons in the Shoogar legacy are his ancestors.
  13. Agreed, I give access to my SH for anyone to try, and I play it semi-regularly but haven't seen a Cert drop from it since the Admins Nerfed the Jawa Junk. I get it on the JJ nerf but to kill everything else too? How about an update so it would drop other REP that you can no longer get? Put a machine in the SUB Cartel area for those that don't have one.

I've dropped about 3 mil into this machine since the big nerf still trying to get the mount. No mount yet, and i've gotten 3 certificates. I'm wondering if the mount even drops anymore.

  14. The odd thing is they have avoiding seemingly all of the more obvious romance options. Risha, Jaesa, Kira, Elara... i can only assume there is a reason for this aside from not wanting to bother with the romance stuff.

One would think, by now, they would know we were back and alive and what happened considering half the galaxy does and maybe reached out in some form? idk, call me crazy. Must be some reason for it but its starting to make less and less sense the longer its drawn out.

Right. My Jedi has been unfrozen for months now, has his ship back, has the Alliance under control, yet he hasn't even thought twice about going to find his love interest?

Seriously that should have been like Chapter 4... oh look there's a thousand year old ship in the Jungle well seeya I'm going to go find my wife Kira now.

  15. I cant login to Swtor, and havent been able to since the latest patch arrived, and the launcher says that login is "unavaiable" but Stor servers are still up?? Anyone else have the same problem?

I had this same issue last night after i could not patch and decided to run the fixlauncher program. It reverted my launcher to the old version and then kept telling me that the logon servers were unavailable.

The only way that I could fix it was to copy the launcher files from another PC and overwrite mine. Restoring a backup would work as well. Downloading the swtor installer from the website DID NOT restore the new launcher.

  16. My post has nothing to do with anything Jordan said or who is in charge of the operation, or my character having a bruised ego over his comment. This has everything to do with what my character said, which IMO is not what a Jedi Barsen'thor or Knight would say at a time like that... much less a Sith Lord or Warrior for that matter. These characters are the epitome of leadership, and that line is completely out of character for them unless they were trying to be humorous but it did not sound that way at all.

That line coming from a Smuggler... I could identify with that. It is just not a good fit for most of the class characters.

  17. I've played through Chapter XI three times now, and every time I get to this part I don't understand why my character says a particular line at a critical juncture in the story.

During the attack near the end a shuttle lands unleashing what seems to be an overwhelming amount of enemy forces. My character who is supposed to be the leader of the Alliance says aloud "Any last words?" to which Aric Jordan tells me to (appropriately) "Can it".

Perhaps the devs are trying to make this quote humorous, but if so it fails miserably. IMO it only succeeds in making Aric Jordan look like the stronger leader. I just don't get why my character would say something like that as it seems so UN-charactistic of any leader to say.
